I took my bike off the chain and got on it.  I start riding home when I see Nancy and a guy. I'm going to assume it's her boyfriend. I stop my bike. Nancy started waving me over and I blink a bit.

I ride away not making eye contact with them. I wasn't looking for a best friend right now. Nancy was sweet but I just thought of Isabelle. I couldn't get hurt again. I slowly approach home.

The trailer across from ours was blaring music. I scoffed at the music. The screaming and loudness was almost overwhelming, but in a sense... calming? I loved rock music. It reminded me a lot of my dad. I shook my head back into reality. I threw my bike to the side.

I unlock the trailer door. Boxes still scattered everywhere I sigh. I look around to see empty beer cans. I start to feels something inside of me. A slow bubble. Something thats angering me... I clench my fists. I lock my jaw. He was too busy getting drunk to do basic house work. Did he even bother looking for a job? Did he even try putting stuff away? Did he even try? Did he? DID HE FUCKING TRY AT ALL? HAS HE EVER FUCKING TRIED? I start breathing heavily. Tears formed along my eyes. He ruined what could have been a perfect relationship. A bond. Burned to bits. I fell to my knees. This was my life now. Nothing but a joke to him. The lights around me start to flicker. I feel blood come from my nose. I shut my eyes. My hands are red from holding them together so long. The lights flicker faster. Faster. Faster. Fast- The bulbs start to pop one by one. And just like that its dark in the trailer. I look around me. I wipe the blood from my nose and get up off the floor. I start crying and run into my room.

What the fuck is wrong with me. Why is my nose bleeding. Why do I have some random fucking number tattooed on my wrist. Why am I trying to convince myself I didn't blow up those lights. I didn't blow them up. Thats impossible. I scrunch up in a ball and start sobbing. I eventually cry myself to sleep. What a sad fucking life I live... Sometimes I feel like one big mistake.

I wake up to the sound of yelling.
"DELANEY" I hear my name being shouted.
"W-what?" I rub my eyes.
"It's 8pm and you've done jack shit around here and to top it all off the lights are broken."
"Well you were home drinking all day maybe you could've done something," I mumble and push pass him.
"What did you just say?"
"Nothing," I unlock the door.
"No, you're not going anywhere," Nick starts to stumble toward me.
"Fuck" I say under my breath I say struggling to open the door.
"No no no," I whine quietly, trying to jiggle open the door. Nick only comes closer. I manage to open the door and run out. I see Nick try to run after me and before I know it, I'm banging on the neighbour's trailer.

A boy with long, black, frizzy hair opens the door.
"What?" He says, unenthused.
"Can I come in please," I say with pleading eyes. He looks around outside a bit and lets me come in. I walk inside.
"So, you new around here?" The guy asks.
"Uh yeah, my name is Delaney or uh Dels," I stick out my hand. He shakes it.
"Eddie," he looks around for a second, "so why are you here exactly?"
"My brother is being crazy I guess," I laugh awkwardly. Eddie gives me a look of somewhat understanding.
"Excuse the mess, wasn't expecting guests." Eddie laughs a bit.
"Oh no problem you should see my place..." I give a cheesy smile. I rattle my brain looking for a new topic.
"I, uh, heard you playing music earlier," I bring up.
"Ah yes- not to loud was it?"
"No no. I actually like metal," I said putting my hands in my pockets.
"Really?"
"Yeah I, uh, actually play the guitar." I tell him through a small smile.
"That's mind blowing... because same," he started to walk away and motions for me to come with him. I follow him to the back of his trailer. He took a guitar off the wall and smiled at me.
"This is my prized possession," he gestures to the guitar.
"I can see why," I laugh. The guitar was obviously nice. He held it out.
"I don't, uh, let many people touch her, but..." Eddie looked up at me, "I think I can make an exception." He handed me the guitar. I strummed it and listened to the sweet sound of the chords. Eddie looks down at my wrist.
"Nice tat what does it mean?" My face drops.
"I-I dunno," I put the guitar on his bed, "I should go now."
"Did I do something?" Eddie questions and I don't know what to do. I look down.
"No, I just need to go," I started heading for the door. Eddie stayed behind in his room. I felt bad, but if I didn't even know what the tattoo meant what I supposed to say? Plus with all the crazy shit happening with the lights and what not I had just felt a new type of low.

I find myself knocking on the trailer door. It swings open. Nick stands there with a cigarette in his mouth.
"What do you want,"
"To come back inside my house,"
"Bullshit,"
"Bullshit?" I looked at him.
"Bullshit" Nick puffs smoke in my face.
"Nick just let me inside,"
"No." He said with a smirk.
"I'm not in the mood for your bitchy attitude," I tried pushing past him.
"Maybe I'm not in the mood for yours." Nick stops me. He pushed me back outside and I fall back onto the ground.
"What the fuck Nick?" I got back up. Nick looked at me.
"You're on your own tonight," He said trying to close the door.
"No," I said making intense eye contact with him.
"No?" He cackled a bit.
"No..." Something switched off in my brain causing some sort of jolt. I saw an immediate change in Nicks face.
"Ok well come in then," he smiled. What? I blinked a couple times and walked in slamming my bedroom door shut. I looked up. Fuck. I forgot about the stupid stars. I looked around the small space. I decided to sneak out. You only live once I guess.

|time skip|

It was around 11. I heard Nick go in his room so I propped open the window. I threw my bag out and then climbed out the window. I walked around the side and biked to an old cvs store about a mile away. It only took around five minutes.

I took the bike chain out of my backpack and clipped it to a sign. I ran inside the cvs with 15 dollars in my hand. I wasn't going to get my hopes up for finding the stars but I just wanted to make my room feel a little less bitter.

I walked around, noticing the odd person. I finally found some decorations. The whole isle had so many things I could get to make my room feel less dead. I had a basket in my hand and started putting stuff in. I still had to unpack furniture for my room, but I left everything behind that wasn't needed. This meant that I left behind decor and stuffed animals and whatever else was in the place I used to call home. I took a box of glow in the dark stars and beside the box were fairy lights. Maybe I could hang them around my bed? I put them in the basket. Other things filled up the basket. Like posters and fake plants. I was honestly sort of shocked a cvs had these things but I shook it off.

I walk up to the checkout area and start handing the old woman my items.
"Is that all for today honey?" She smiled.
"Uh yes," I smiled back.
"Your total is 11.33$" I handed her the bills and in return she gave me change.
"Have a wonderful night."
"You too!" I smiled. I waltzed out the door.

Without fail I bumped into someone.
"Oh hi Dels," A raspy voice spoke. I looked up to see Robin.
"Oh hi," I said awkwardly.
"What are you doing here?"
"Just picking up a couple things," I smiled and raised up the plastic bag.
"Ah, well I'll see you tomorrow I guess," Robin smiled. It made me smile too.
"Uh yeah." Next thing I knew I was biking off back home. I never felt this way before. It was weird. Robin and I barely talked, but without fail she made my palms sweat and knees weak.

I threw my bike to the side and started to climb back through the window. So much had happened tonight and I just needed a break. I crawled into my sleeping bag and eventually just fell asleep.
