The first thing their eyes focused on was the scroll. Their faces were plastered with wonder and curiosity. Is it another degree from the king? An invitation? Or maybe a fan letter like Rover had thought? Well, some part told them to figure things out when Solenan handed it to them. And so, they rose from their chairs and walked their way towards them.
"What is it, Solenan?" asked Leo.
"The mailman has sent this for you guys," said Solenan handing the Royal Guardians a scroll.
Leo was the first to reach his hand to the scroll. With Solenan's hand slipping away from it, Leo was finally able to unscroll it.
"What does it say, Leo?" asked Intellizo.
Once Leo's eyes scanned the words from top to bottom, his head slightly turned to the others. "Listen to this, you guys." Then, his head turned to the scroll and read it out loud.
"You are cordially invited by Snow the White Cat and Lariel the Lioness to have a quick visit in the orphanage somewhere in the forest. Lariel is asking for a visit, so that she'll discover more about you including what it's like to be the Royal Guardian. I'm sure the kids and teenage orphans will be so happy if you get there."
"Finally, someone who recognizes us!" said Rover. "I'm in for a quick visit!"
"I guess a small break won't hurt," said Intellizo with a smile on his face.
"I'm sure the kids will behave when we got to the orphanage!" said Billie.
You could see Bashiri's smirk on her face as she nudged his left shoulder. "You do realize there are also teenagers, right?" she asked, correcting him.
"Right. That too."
"Well, then. Seems like a small break will work for us, " said Leo, then he turned his head to Solenan. "Solenan, you're in charge. Tell us if something's happening to the Leone Kingdom."
"I'm on my duty, Leo," said Solenan.
"Well, what are we waiting for?" asked Rover with a delightful smile on his face. "Come on!"
With that being said, the Royal Guardians headed out of their HQ. Right before Leo left the orphanage, he rolled his eyes jokingly.
"Nixue Spage. Always proud to be popular," he said leaving the Royal Guardians HQ.
Timeskip to when they arrive in the orphanage
The Royal Guardians found themselves in front of the orphanage gates. There stood Lariel and Snow right before their eyes. Leo had felt something weird the first time he was around the two ladies. Or should I say, one? He brushed off the feeling inside of him before his mind focused on the quick visit.
"Thanks for inviting us her for a quick visit, Snow and Lariel!" he acknowledged them.
"Oh, it was nothing," replied Snow.
"I just wanna get to know more about you guys since I found out you're the only ones with a new chapter," said Lariel.
You could hear a light chuckle escaping Leo's mouth.
"Well, I'm glad you said that," said Billie.
You could see Snow gesturing the Royal Guardians to go inside the orphanage "Why don't you come inside and have a chat? We'd like to get to know more about your adventures."
"Sure. Let's go," answered Intellizo.
With that being said, Snow, Lariel and the Royal Guardians walked their way through the gates of the orphanage.
Kids were scattered everywhere in the front yard of the orphanage. Not only that, but there were also young teenagers watching over them. Once their eyes were set on the Royal Guardians, they had big smiles on their faces.
