Chapter Two

"Please just try to do this for me! Just this once!" I was sitting in the kitchen at the table drinking some coffee. Emma was standing up over me. God, why did she have to be so tall? Why couldn't I get my mother's tallness?

She had puppy eyes. I took another sip and stared at you. "I don't know. He just doesn't seem trusted." She looked at me sadly.

"Please just do this for me. Just once." She was pleading. I could tell she was. I felt my heart tremble. I looked down the hallway. His door was still shut. I looked back at her and sighed. Just the other night, having a simple talk, it felt like I have fallen in love for the first time. It seems scary, and painful.

"Fine. But if he does something he leaves." She looked at me sadly, but changed it back to her bashful self.

"Thanks big bro!" She hugged me tightly. Emma gave me a quick peck on the cheek and then ran out the door. The list was for both of us to go shopping. Grocery shopping. She wanted us to get to know each other while getting what she wanted.

I finished up my coffee and got up. I was in a jacket and pants, converse on my little feet. I walked down the hall with a shopping list. I walked into his room and saw that he was reading a book. I couldn't really tell what he was reading since his large hand was in the way.

He towered my sister and even beat her in martial arts and karate. It surprised me so bad that I didn't even say a word but my sister just went ahead and laughed it off. He looked up from his book and stared at me.

"What?"

He smirked and continued to look up and down. "Nothing."

"Hpphh. Emma wants us to do her shopping for her. So, come with me." I am only doing this for Emma!

"Oh. Well if we are, you have to hold my hand." I turned around and felt my face turn a bright red.
