"Ah..." Matteo rubbed his eyelids. He opened his restless eyes and scanned the room. With his eyes moving, he noticed the woman again. Sitting on the couch in the middle of the room, is Alessandra Allessi, the heir to the riches of the Allessi Court. Her honey-kissed amber eyes seemed to judge his existence.
"Are you sure you're the son of the great Augustus?" She commented. Matteo hovered his hands to her, covering his face with the other hand. He had heard this comment before, too many times, and he was sick of it.
"Fine," Alessandra sighs. "Let's get this over with."
Alessandra had her fingers run through her dirty blonde hair, tucking it to the back of her ear. Matteo rubbed his face and stared at her gaze.
"About your sister's death," Matteo grabs the folder on the coffee table in front of him and smacked it to her knee. "Are you sure this isn't involved with the death?"
Alessandra opened the folder, a stapled paper was there. She picked it up and read it silently. Matteo rubbed his fingers all together, watching Alessandra read page by page. It was the paper from the bank, given by the former butler to the deceased Lady Alessi.
Everything in that paper states and justifies the money transfer. The money was not sent to Allesandra, but instead to someone else. I have no clue who it could be, but I'm sure it has something to do with the death. Conflicts about the money in this family. It's as expected of a mafia family, but the death of Elena being taken this serious must make Alessandra enough alibi to not be the killer. She does look like a material girl, but the bond of the sisters must be something not to justify her being the suspect.
It should have something to do with the death of Lady Allessi.
"Is this from the bank?" Alessandra handed out to him the paper.
"Obviously," Matteo replied. He stared at the paper, putting it back on the coffee table.
"How?"
"The manager of the bank is my good friend." Matteo went to look at her gaze. She looked invested. "But he didn't give it to me that easy, it came with a price."
"How much?"
Matteo looked at her, she is still invested. He chuckled. "Around fifty, no, seventy thousand dollars."
"That's it?" She glared at him, placing her left leg over her right. She's not convinced.
"What do you want to know?" Matteo raised an eyebrow, staring right through her soul. The Avallone's have the special ability to read people's mannerisms and actions. This was inherited from his father, Augustus the great. Alessandra wants to know something, and it has to do with the paper. It is either she knew the transaction, or, she questions my credibility.
"Well," She started. "How did you manage to get that paper when even I can't access the money?"
"Woah, Woah." He hovered his hand in the air, trying to back away from her. "Easy, easy, Alessandra."
Hovering his hand in the air is a great habit of his, it indicates either shock, fear or disappointment. He paused and went on to pick out one by one the thoughts in his mind.
"You're saying you can't access your own bank account?"
"Yeah, what does it sound like to you?"
"Wait." He touched his chin.
Alessandra backed up and rubbed her back to the couch. She clenched the purse between her fingers. Matteo stared at the floor blankly, frozen on the stool. Then, it hit him.
Matteo stared at Alessandra, pouting, watching him. She is beautiful, almost perfect outside, but she's pretty dumb. When I read the papers earlier, there were multiple records of an unnamed individual who opened the account multiple times and withdrew a couple of money. From what I remember, it sums to One Million Dollars.
It's possible that a family member of hers locked the account and kept it to themselves. It must be that Lady Alessi hasn't realized. That her grandkid's treasure is being kept away from them.
The heirs themselves are too dumb to notice, or the person who kept the money from them must be someone they trusted well. Should I tell her?
"Alessandra." He called. "Do you love your mother?"
