Hi I'm Neshi, I'm 19 years old and I live with my stepmother Marianne and my stepsister jen. I dont have my real parents here with me. You might ask why and to be honest.....I dont know eaither where they went. I've been told by my stepmother that they died ages ago. I have no other relative with me exept for my cousin Mel. She supports me with evrything. She dosnt know what happened to my parents either but she said that my mum suddenly disappeared and I was still a baby so my dad married my step mother to take care of me. They then had a child of their own and my dad suddenly vanished too. My stepsister is 17. I dont have a good life here. Both of them treat me as slaves.i really wish I had my real parents. My cousin also told me my dad was part of the mafia. No wonder why the house I lived in was soo huge. But obviously I dont have his money. My stepmother kept it all in her bank. I always see her and my stepsister spending it on all sorts of things like new cloths, cars, items,evrything....I dont get any of that. I work at a local store to get enough money for myself since my stepmother stopped giving me money. To be honest I barely make enough but still a little is better than nothing.
I get dressed for work and get ready.

I went downstairs and saw my stepmother and stepsister in the kitchen talking. I made my way towards the front door without making a sound. But obviously I got caught....
Marianne "and where are you off to this early?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
Jen "mum why are you eaven asking her? I bet she is off to sleep with someone" she laughed
Neshi "I'm not! I'm going to work"
Marianne "you never seem to go this early"
Neshi "I have to work extra hours today....I dont have enough money for my evry day things like pads" I mumbled
They both laughed and I rushed out the door. I just want to run away, but I cant. The store isnt far from my house. It's only a 10 minute walk. When I got there I went to my cousin and gave her a big hug.
Neshi "hi mel!"
Mel "hi babyy"
I let go of her and started work. It wasnt that busy today so I just put some more things on the shelf and walked around for a bit.
Mel "so hon howz things going?"
Neshi "not good mel. I still dont have enough money for simple things like toothpaste and pads. Its anoying because I know my period is going to start in a fue days. That's why I'm working extra hours so I can make a bit more money"
Mel "Neshi how many times have i told you that I can buy you those things. Your my only family right now"
Neshi "yes mel but you need the money for your baby and I know some of your money is your husband so I dont want to spend it"
Mel "he wont mind! Plus he treats you as his sister"
She is right. Mels husband is one of the nicest people I met. He is the co owner of this store. He would have given me more pay but sadly we are a low income store.
