April
"Stay down!" Shade commanded. He spoke to a criminal, a dark haired young man who thought he could get away with running away from the cops. Shade the dark bipedal humanoid creature stood with his foot down on the back of a criminal. There were plenty of shadows in the forest where they were and Shade used those. Creeping ropes slithered out of the shadows surrounding the man and wound around his torso and legs. "The police will be here in a moment."
"So you're just going to leave me here?" The perpetrator spat.
"'Course I am. I've got another job, y'know," Shade griped. Shade melted into his shadow form and hurried out of the forest and through the small city of Northbury. It was still bright out and snow covered the Earth, moving around in this shadow form, especially in the bright daylight hurt.
Once he got back into his car, he materialized, filling out into his human form - a black haired, purple eyed twenty year old man named Faust Haas. He was thankful for his tinted windows he shrugged on clothes as well as his Canadian Tire uniform. He skidded into the parking lot at 11:58. No way he'd end up being on time today.
12:04pm the computer read as Faust leapt over the Sports desk and pounded in his social insurance number. "Yer late, buddy," Harris Denton, Faust's co-worker said. "You've been late twice this week, Wil is gonna kill you." Denton twirled the RF gun and pointed it at Faust and a harmless red laser shot at the red fabric of Faust's shirt.
"He's not here, is he?" Faust asked nervously.
"Course he is. It's his weekend to be here. Don't just stand there, bud. There's a guy in aisle thirty with your name on 'im," Denton gave Faust a slap in the back and Faust tensed.
"What the hell does that mean?" Faust asked, giving Denton a long look. Denton grinned and scurried off.
Faust waltzed around the corner and almost slammed directly into a towheaded young man who had been comparing two pairs of skates.
Faust took a deep breath and carefully shifted his black bangs to the side. "Hello, you look like you could use some assistance," Faust said charmingly, throwing in a big smile. The young man turned bright red.
"I-I do," he stammered. Faust's smile grew. He looked cuter then he expected him to be now that he gazed at him head on and up close. He had nicely shaped, blue eyes so pretty Faust wanted to swim in their depths and his mouth looked excellent to kiss. Faust waited for him to tell him what he needed help with but the boy just stared at him, in what looked like complete and utter shock.
"What are you looking for?" Faust asked in a soft tone, biting back a smile.
"I'm just browsing," The young man replied. He bit his lip and his face deepened into an even brighter red.
