After quite some time passed, the characters started to stir.

First Tea Kettle got up to notice Lifering lying asleep in a "proper lying formation."  She found that quite interesting, since the truth is always better than a well-meant lie...but of course, one may be honest about feeling tired and not willing to stand up to do things.

"We... got a sinker..." mumbled Lifering as he slept.  "But don't worry--I'll be right there"

"Surely I haven't done that in my sleep?" thought Tea Kettle.  "What, that'd be nonsense, I can be pretty confident."  Tea Kettle then asked the Pic-Nix table to nix the inner tube, while she crafted "GOOD PSEUDO-MORNING" on a banner.

Candle was up too.  "That looks similar to my aura readings banner," she remarked, "and I can tell that the dreams of fellow contestants can be used to get their aura."

"Well then, perhaps we should proceed to do that.  We can get useful information..."

So they proceeded to look at the auras of the remaining sleepers.  "Shame Bow has no aura, and she doesn't sleep," said Candle, "-whoops, I meant Bowbot."

"Oh, but look on the bright side!" responded Bow.  "I get to document everything I'm seeing right here, and it'll look so nice for the... erm... whatchamacallit..."

"Commercials?"

All of a sudden, Bow glitched.  The glitching was loud enough to wake several people.

Balloon got up and rubbed his eyes.  "What's going on..."  He noticed Nickel was still asleep since it's hard to get rejuvenated without much comfort.  However, Box was upright.  "Well, that's a first..."

"Beats me," uttered Paintbrush as they were waking up.

"Well, that, my friends, is proper lying formation," replied Lifering as he awoke.  "No back pains, no sweat."

"Golly!" interjected Test Tube, "something's happening with the Bowbot!  I'd better see what's going on..."

"You know," said Balloon, "that was the best nap I ever had since I left Hotel OJ!  Plus most of those people didn't want me going around bothering them... this grass, and the Pic-Nix table, I must commend, are very nice and caring."  Then he saw the banner that said "GOOD PSEUDO-MORNING" and responded, "Good pseudo-morning to you too... those who had a nap."

"You know what's weird?" wondered Paintbrush.  "We don't seem to have an actual way of telling the time here."

"Oh, that's one thing we didn't think to ask the Pic-Nix table!"

"Actually," said MePhone4, "you can't ask the Pic-Nix table to generate a clock.  It can still only do food and sleeping comfort.  There's only limited room in the mechanism!"

"Well, then... do you know what time it is?"

"Good thing I still got my regular watch," said Balloon as he pulled it out.  "It's... 4:17 PM."

"Hm, so it doesn't look like we slept too long," replied Lifering, "but some of the folks are still asleep... maybe we should find an alternate place to go or be quiet."

It was at this point that Goo woke up and danced with pinecones around him.  He was a bit loud, so the others hushed him.  "Sorry, I forgot it's not the morning..." replied Goo.  "But look on the bright side, we might be willing to explore nighttime things if we're not as tired..."

"Hm..." said Tea Kettle, "I guess you're right.  But we've already been up overnight with the picture challenge.  Easy to remember since I was the center of horror..."

At this point, The Floor woke up with a yawn, then got off the pillow.  "Looks like the sky's bright and clear!  And I can even see what lies ahead of me in the night.  Best day ever!"

"Well that's a great way to look at it!" remarked Goo.

"Looks like Clover's still asleep, though," said Balloon.  "She's lucky enough not to have crazy thoughts, huh?  Oh wait, I don't know how I should feel about this..."  Suddenly he sneezed.  Balloon realized he was allergic to the blanket he got from the Pic-Nix table, so he traded it in for another blanket.  Then he asked the table for some cupcakes.

"Huh, those cupcakes appear to be fitting around a certain occasion," noted Cabby.  (She was referring to one of the prizes of the longest-sleep contest.)

Eventually the remaining characters woke up, and as everyone carried on with the day, they took their possessions with them to keep.  They knew they probably wouldn't have a sleepless night for a long time.

While on Indefinite Island, Blueberry decided his sleeping schedules were going to wind up all over the place.

The End.
