Just A Little While Longer.

1. Why?

"You are a stupid, selfish brat, " " You are so pathetic, look at you!"  were the words ringing in my head all day from the previous night. I had just finished making dinner for my boyfriend, so I sat down on the sofa counting down the minutes until he arrived. " Is this worth it? Am I really going to let this man continue hurting me emotionally?" but I got distracted by the sound of the front door opening. "Well here we go again," I silently sighed to myself before getting up to attend to my boyfriend.

"Damien, you're home," I said with a fake smile plastered on my face.  "Oh, hey Olivia  I thought you'd be asleep," he said with a smile on his face, the same smile that lured me into this hell. "Well...no, it's 7 pm" I said with a confused look plastered on my face but I got a glare from him before he looked at his watch and said " Well a useless woman like you would be asleep now. " but before I could speak, he walked into the kitchen and took his food from the oven before looking at me with a disgusted look.

" You know that I don't like carrots, Olivia, how many times do I need to tell you? " Damien shouted with an angry look on his face but with a split second, he threw the plate on the floor and stormed off into the lounge area.

I got a broom and dustpan and swept the discarded items on the floor before walking up the stairs and going to the black and grey master bedroom. I lay on the king-sized bed before letting my tears silently roll down my cheeks. " Why?" was the only question on my mind before I heard the front door open and close and then I slowly drifted off to sleep.
