2. Regret

I woke up to an empty bed, like every other night Damien slept in the lounge. I had a lot of thoughts running through my head but I had no time to process them all .  I got up from my bed and walked towards the bathroom. I turned the shower on and got my toothpaste and brush and I brushed my teeth. After brushing my teeth, I got into the hot shower,it took me a few minutes to get adjusted to the heat. I closed the tap and got a towel from the hanger and walked out the bathroom.

I sat on my bed and and got ready for work. I put on my work scrubs and made my bed. I got a pair of shoes and put them on. I slowly approached my bed and took my jewelery from my bed side and put it on. I didn't have enough time to do my make up so I applied some lip gloss and headed out.

As soon as I opened my bedroom door, regret flood my empty heart. I heard some chattering from downstairs and it was the two people I wish I never met. Damien and my neighbour Grace were having a conversation about something I didn't want to know about. I was half way down the staircase when Grace ran up the stairs and embraced me in a bear hug. " Oh my Olivia you look so naturally beautiful like always but today there's something about you that's just making you glow," Grace said enthusiastically. " Well that's because she has a handsome loving boyfriend like me, " Damien said with a smile. I glared at him but before I could speak to Grace she was off running to her, claiming she was late for work. But I knew she didn't want to stick around to watch our dog fight. " I thought you weren't going to work Olivia, I told you can't go to work because I am the one who is supposed to be working. I love you dearly Olivia and  I want to take care of you. " Damien said to me but before I could answer he went on.

" Olivia this not up for a debate , you aren't going to work this week and that is final. " Damien walked to the door before turning around and said " We are going to Gala dinner to night, so go and get yourself an elegant dress and get ready by 7 the party starts at 8:30 sharp tonight, " he walked to he's black Tesla and drove off to work.
