"Game?" I looked at him. "You used to sell?" I asked.
He nodded in shame. "We had nothin. We were broke, and somebody had ta' bring some money home. We coulda' damn near starved so i decided ta' sell." He shrugged. "I came home one day with stacks of money and my moms got suspicious of whea' i was gettin it."
I nodded so he knew i was all ears.
"I dont know how she found out or who told ha' , but she found out and she kicked me out da' house. Das' why i been homeless for a while."
"Did you find a way to leave the thing?" I asked, obviously not knowing anything about all that selling.
"Nah, actually dey been lookin fa' me, but dey neva' found me." He replied.
That made my heart beat fast but i kept calm.
Wouldnt you be scared if someone in your house was on the run? Wouldnt you feel in danger too? Shit, I do.
"Okay august. Just promise me whatever you do, do not go anywhere without telling me where your going until you get comfortable around this area. I dont want it to seem like im babying you or anything but i just want to make sure your safe."
He nodded. "I promise."
I held out my pinkie
He held out his, and we locked pinkies.
We started laughing. "Childish" We said in unison.
