The smell of buttered buns and hot coffee roams around the living room. It's 7am, comfy on our sofa and I haven't showered but that doesn't matter,  it's the graduation month in another batch of the year. As I turned the television on for the news, the jealousy on my face grew uncontrollably. My mood is ruined. I admit that it's simply my fault. I wanted to check the results hoping I passed the board exams but out of 2,000 students, my name was nowhere to be found. Probably drowned somewhere in the sea from humiliation.

I'm currently 219 years old.

Thinking about my age and how I still couldn't graduate despite all the studying I did. How huge of a misfortune had fallen in my lap. The average age that is expected to graduate is between 100-150 years old. I'm the oldest in the class.

I get the papers done on time, I follow all the school rules, I double check everything if I got all the answers right yet I still couldn't graduate. Maybe because i'm dumb.It wouldn't surprise me anymore if another misfortune landed on me. As if it could get any worse.

The news about the graduating students passed on and the news about random negative information for entertainment had started. My phone rang from the table across me. I checked and it's my mom.

"Hello?", I answered in a calm tone.

"Honey, we're sorry we all left early for work. Your brother also started his first mission. I think we'll be home late tonight.", she told me. I could hear her concerned voice, probably about me being alone again in this house.

My dad is a grim reaper, a senior one, in a higher position to be exact. He's probably with my younger brother teaching him about being one since he graduated. My mom on the other hand is a hotel manager in a specific type of hotel, mostly for children but sometimes for elders too.

I usually get to just be here by myself and it's boring. Not until my age has hooped up a bit, because of that, I can get to some part time jobs to save up a bit.

I told her that I have a part time job in the afternoon till night so she shouldn't worry about me . She kept on telling me some random information, usually gossiping about her coworkers which is quite fun and then she ended the phone call.

There was also news about the mortal world, mostly their states affair. We also have some channels about the heavens management, though they limit us for further information about their world. It's understandable, same with ours. We also share limited information about the underworld. Our world.

I finished my morning things and got up to take a shower. I'm planning on doing some simple groceries cause when i did my breakfast i saw that we're out of stock.

Did some cleaning in my bedroom upstairs and headed out.

When I came back and fixed my things, made lunch and prepared for my part time job. I saw a white owl chilling in front of our house, like he was waiting for me. A letter was attached to his mini backpack.

A heavenly owl messenger? What?

I questioned that and passed through him.

He is still there, I could feel it. Even if I don't do any magic to check.

Went out after 4 or 5 hours for my part time job and I was right. He didn't leave. He's just there waiting patiently for me.

I can't leave him....

Planning to approach him and take the letter. As i got close, i made sure he knew i'm not going to do any harm and wanted the letter.

Ack!! , the owl shouted. He seemed alerted then stared right into my eyes.
