Y/n's POV
After playing with my phone for a while, dad finally came back with Mr. Park.
"Dad!" I exclaimed, silently telling him that I want to go home now.
"Sweetie" Dad smiled.
"Let's go home" I whispered while he just laughed.
"Alright, alright. Let's go home" He said.
I sighed happily.
After that I immediately went out of the room while Dad took his time bidding the others goodbye.
A few minutes later (which felt like an hour), Dad finally finished and went outside.
"Mr. Kim, let us see you out since it'd be too rude if we don't"
Talk about the 2 sides of a coin...THESE GIRLS ARE LITERALLY 2 FACED PEOPLE!
Wait, where's Dahyun though?
"Tsk" I shook my head.
When we were about to walk, my phone suddenly rang.
I smiled as soon as I saw Liz's name.
"Dad, you go first, I'll just answer this call" I excused myself and went to the rooftop.
"Who is this?" I teased and smiled widely, but my smile soon disappeared when I heard her sniffing.
"Yah, what happened? Why are you crying?" I asked worriedly.
"Dad...my dad's missing Y/n" She wept.
My ears perked.
"What? How?"
"Earlier this morning he said that he's going out to buy us food but he hasn't come back since" She continued.
What...-
"How many hours has it been?" I asked.
"Why?"
"So that after 24 hours, we can report him missing" I stated.
Gosh, I was worried for nothing...I thought her father's been missing for days!
"N-No! We can't!" She said in such hurry.
"Eh? Why can't we?" That's strange.
"I don't want the police in this, he's my dad which means I'm responsible for finding him..."
Well, she's got a point though.
"Still, you won't find him easily if it's just you looking for him, it'd be too impossible to happen" I sighed.
"That's why I'm calling you idiot! You're going to help me find him!" She complained.
What if I don't want to help her find him?
I mean, it's true that she's my friend but even though there are the 2 of us looking for her dad, it would still be too hard to find him.
Who knows? Maybe the kidnapper took him to another country or-or maybe worst! They might've brung Uncle with them to the North!
Only God knows what happened to him or where he is now.
I'm actually worried that he might be gone for good.
But...
"Y/n? Are you still there? Y/n?"
...she's still my friend after all, my best friend at that.
"Where do you want to start?"
Gosh, how foolish of me.
"Great! I'll meet you at the usual place tomorrow, bye!" She happily said and ended the call.
With that being said, I guess I should eat a lot tonight because tomorrow I'm gonna need a lot of energy.
I sighed and went down to meet my dad outside the building.
Author's POV
"Misses" A bodyguard approached Jihyo and her sisters.
"Ah, Felix" Dahyun stepped forward.
Felix bowed and gave them the information they've been meaning to know.
"Kim Ji-won?" Jeongyeon furrowed her eyebrows.
"The name sounds familiar but I can't really remember where I've heard it" Tzuyu shrugged.
"Right?" Chaeyoung agreed.
"Well, whoever she is, Y/n is our top priority right now. We MUST make her agree to the marriage of our dads...it's the only way to achieve our freedom." Jihyo said which made everyone nod.
"Felix, how about the places they both often go to?" Mina asked him.
"Ah, there are only 3 places, so far, that they've been going to. The mall, the park, and Ms. Kim Y/n's house" Felix said which pretty much convinced the girls that nothing's wrong.
Everything seemed like a perfect alibi to them.
But that Kim Ji-won's still giving them the creeps.
Their heads hung down low.
"Hey, Felix, how many years has it been since they became best friends?" Jihyo suddenly asked.
"About 6? 7 years"
"They've been friends for 7 years so why?" Everybody looked at Jihyo.
"Huh?" Nayeon raised her eyebrows.
"It's just that they've known each other for 7 years and yet the only places they went to is the mall, park, and Y/n's house..."
"Uhh yeah...?"
"Jihyo, what do you mean?" Sana asked.
"Why only Y/n's house and not Kim Ji-won's? Is she trying to hide something or...?" She trailed off.
What Jihyo said made the girls realize something.
"Felix, do everything you can to know who this Kim Ji-won really is, Y/n might be in danger"
