Narrator/3rd Person POV

Elonzo ran through the woods, holding his own lovers hands, they ran and ran, eventually spliting up with the townspeople and their family's

they heard shouting from behind, but never dared to look back at what horror would await them.

Elonzo's lovers hands slipped out of his and sent his own lover falling onto the ground, making sure to protect a sleeping newborn in their hands

a thud was heard, Elonzo looked back and his widened as he saw his lover and newborn child on the floor, he ran over to them

he ran and crouched next to them, helping his lover up, "Camilo." Elonzo spoke gently as his tone was filled with worry and concern

"Don't worry, i'm fine.. my leg just hurts..." Camilo spoke weakly, the two embraced each other in their arms before their attention moved to the place where they were running from as shouts were heard from there.

Elonzo took his hand and lead him away from danger, and when they found themselves outside the dark forest as the sun gently rose up, he sat down on the grass and waited for his lover, "what do we do?" Camilo asked, his voice was filled with worry and panic
"We wait, the people who were chasing us are going to try again" Elonzo responded softly
Elonzo sighed and leaned against Camilo, "you should be resting, it's not good to go too long without rest... I can get a cart and take us to town..." Elonzo said, looking towards his lover
Camilo shook his head slowly "I'll be alright... let's wait"

Camilo replied quietly
Elonzo knew that this wasn't easy on him but it could have been much worse, he held onto Camilo's hand and intertwined their fingers
Elonzo looked up as the sound of footsteps caught his attention, it sounded like the townsfolk were running, they all turned around, their eyes locked in terror.

It wasn't the townsfolk, but the raiders who tried to kill everyone, including Camilo's family... The Madrigals..

Camilo gasped slightly at the sight, torches were lighting up the slightly dim area, he looked around, seeing the Vergara's and Rosario's being cornered

Camilo couldn't help but quickly push himself up onto his two legs, Elonzo saw this and stood up before running over to Camilo, he supported his husbands slightly weak body

"Camilo, don't.. you can't be in any shape of helping them.. despite them being my family, i want you to be alright." Elonzo pleaded as he cupped both sides of his lovers cheeks

Camilo couldn't help but smile, he pressed the palm of his hand onto Elonzo's left shoulder for support, before he gently gave their newborn to Elonzo

"Elonzo... take care of her for me.... take care of our daughter.." Camilo spoke out, cupping Elonzo's cheek with his free hand

Elonzo held the sleeping bundle in his hands, looking at his lover with tears in his eyes, he begs him to stay, "Camilo-.. please-" He begged

Camilo pressed his lips onto Elonzo's, closing his eyes, Elonzo couldn't do anything bug close his eyes too and let him have his lovers possibly last kiss

Camilo grabbed into Elonzo's scabbard and took out his pocket knife, gripping it tightly in his hands, Elonzo knew what Camilo was doing, but let him do it

the two broke apart from the kiss, looking at each other with sorrowful expression carved onto their face, "May i take one last request from you my love?" Camilo asked

"Sure.." Elonzo said, his lips curving up into a small smile despite what was happening

"Teach our daughter..... to always love herself, and never give up" Camilo requested, Elonzo nodded weakly at that request
