Chapter 3: After mission

It had been a long, hard day of being the hokage, Naruto thought while making his way out of a nearby ally that led to the path to his home.

The night sky filled with millions of bright stars illuminating the darkness. Looking up to the moon, Naruto recalled the mission on the moon where he had rescued Hinata and Hanabi.

Naruto realized just how much of an idiot he seemed to be before the moon incident. Hinata had loved Naruto from the beginning. Even as children, Hinata had always watched out for Naruto, making sure that he was happy. Watching from afar, cheering him on during the highs and lows life threw at him.

Walking past the lamp-post of his street, Naruto sped up his pace. Hoping his wife would still be up. Hinata had always made an effort to check in on her husband after his hard days at work, even though she was working hard too- differently, by taking care of their children, making sure the house was tidy, that there was always food to be eaten, that her family was always nourished.

Although Hinata made sure to always take care of others, Naruto knew that Hinata wasn't the best of actually taking the time to take care of herself.

Selfless little Hinata would keep up with the daily house chores, feeding, bathing, caring for, taking their kids to school, but what happened when Hinata needed a break, or felt overwhelmed?

Well, that's where Naruto comes in to  play. Hinata often found asking for help as her just being a nuisance or a burden to those around her. Often finding her self in a funk, or sticky situation that would take a toll more on herself by not asking for help, than if she had asked for help.

"I'm home!" Naruto called as he unlocked the front door to his home.
"Welcome home Naruto!" Hinata called from the living room.

Taking off his work boots, while closing, and locking the front door back, Naruto made his way over to his wife.

"I miss you so much while I'm away." Naruto whispered, warmly hugging Hinata.

"I missed you so much too Naruto."
The two gently hugged one another before making their way to the dining room. "Hinata this looks delicious!" Naruto complimented the feast Hinata had prepared for his arrival. "T-thanks!" Hinata stuttered at Naruto's compliment.

The two shared a delicious meal together before heading to bed.

Laying with her back to Narutos muscular torso, Hinata snuggled in for the night. Embracing against one another for the night.
