When the next day began, Melina went to Morpho just as she had planned. She had gotten out of bed early to leave before Kaylee and Donna would wake up. She knew they would try to stop her, and it would probably make her feel even more guilty for leaving them. The night before Kaylee had eventually succeeded in calming Donna down, and they went to bed early. Before going to bed neither of them had spoken a word to Melina. When they woke up and discovered Melina was gone, they decided to go to the forest of the village and search for Ninfea with just the two of them, but unfortunately when they arrived there, there was no one to be found. Tired and disappointed, they returned to the Molly Moo.

It was already early in the afternoon when the two girls let themselves fall down on some seats next to a table in the bakery. It was pretty quiet in the bakery and not many customers were around. ''What's wrong?'' Caramel asked when she saw the two of them sitting dejectedly. Donna spoke. ''We went to Ninfea's home but we couldn't find her anywhere! What if the elves have already gotten to her?'' She sounded a bit frightened. ''Or maybe she just wasn't at home'' Caramel had as a counter-argument. ''Old elderly pixies have a life too, you know. Maybe less exciting as the two of yours, but still'' she said with a friendly tone of voice. Kaylee gave a slow nod. ''Aunt Caramel is right'' she said to Donna. ''We'll just have to try again later, and there's still a lot we can do in the meantime: we haven't even visited the city area of the elves yet. We might discover something about your father's disappearance if we go there'' she suggested. Kaylee's words gave Donna a bit more hope. She seemed to take Kaylee's word for it. Caramel frowned instead. ''The elves' area? I don't think you'll be getting in there that easily...'' ''Why not?'' Donna asked. ''The name speaks for itself. It's the city area of the elves. They don't like to have pixies around''. ''But haven't you been there all the time when you dated uncle Rex?'' Kaylee noted, as she still remembered the stories Caramel told her about when she and Rex had dated. Caramel nodded in agreement. ''Yes, but it was different for me. Exactly BECAUSE I was Rex' girlfriend, I didn't have trouble getting in there. Rex is one of the heirs from the most powerful elves in existence, and everyone in the area respected him. He was populair and none of the other elves dared to harrass me as they we're afraid of Rex' revenge''. Hearing that made Donna stand up from her chair. ''Well... easy to get in or not... I'll try it anyway'' she decided courageously. She waited for Kaylee, who hadn't gotten up yet. ''It's worth a try. We have to do it. For my dad'' She tried to convince Kaylee. It worked. Although Kaylee still wasn't sure it was a good idea, Donna was right about one thing: they haven't even tried yet.

Mabel, Veronica, and Derek were standing in front of the door to The Wolf's throne room. The Wolf had asked them to come as he had an important announcement to tell them. Until now they still hadn't heard anything from Sean, and hadn't seen him either. If they tried to call him, they couldn't reach him: he didn't pick up his phone. They did however find out one thing: all of his stuff was gone from the house. Derek had loudly complained about being blocked by Sean on his phone, but Veronica pointed out that Sean had already blocked him way before because he had been annoying to him. While making their way to the throne room, Derek had loudly protested that it was unfair and that Sean should have unblocked him a long time ago already, but no one listened to him. ''So...'' Veronica began. ''Who's going to tell him Sean's gone?'' Veronica looked unsure at Mabel and Derek. ''No one'' Mabel answered determined. ''As far as we know he isn't gone. He just didn't feel like coming with us and went on a walk outside, or something like that''. A dangerous glinstering appeared in Dereks eyes. ''Do you mean we're going to lie to The Wolf?'' A grin started to form on his face. Mabel just shrugged in response. ''I don't think it's lying. It's just a form of embellishing the truth''. She knocked on the door. ''Come on in!'' A voice yelled from behind the door. The three elves made their way inside the throne room.

Once inside they found The Wolf, with another elf they didn't recognize standing next to him. It was a young elf with purple hair with green streaks. He appeared to be around fourteen years old, a lot younger than Mabel and the others. The Wolf looked at the three standing in front of him. ''Where's Sean?'' He asked after a short pause. Even thought they had all agreed on not being honest with him, Derek had other ideas. When comparing lying to The Wolf and betraying Sean to eachother, betraying Sean obviously seemed the better option to him. ''He's gon--' Derek began, but Mabel quickly shove a hand before his mouth so he couldn't finish his sentence. She threw him an angry glance. ''He didn't feel like coming and thought we would do fine with just the three of us'' she quickly made up. The Wolf let out a growl. ''Next time he'll better be here, whether he wants to or not. This is important, for ALL of you''. He then proceeded to point to the boy standing next to him. ''Please don't assign him to be a member of our team. I don't want to have to babysit a toddler'' Derek loudly complained, but hastily shut his mouth when he saw the look on The Wolf's face. ''If I were you, I would show some more respect to this 'toddler' here, as he is the next heir of the bloodline and will soon, once he clears his training, be your new master''. The boy grinned. ''With the elves' magic wand I will have more power than all three of you together!'' he said while looking at Derek. ''And disobedient henchmen won't stay for long...'' He continued, the threat especially meant for Derek. Derek just stared back at him with an angry look on his face, knowing better than to open his mouth again. ''Well, Mabel, Veronica, Derek, this is Septimus'' The Wolf finally introduced the boy. ''Third in line, but still a legal heir to the bloodline. I hope that you will all get along in the future. As of now, you three can leave. Go do something useful and patrol the town, or something similair. You've been sitting in your house doing nothing far too long''. The Wolf turned his attention back to Septimus after he finished speaking. ''Yes, master'' the three reluctantly replied in unison while making a respective bow tot heir master.
