Beep. Beep. Beep.

The monitor was going off.

Beep. Beep. Beep

"Hold on, I'll get it in a second." You mumbled

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"STOP BEEPING"  you exclaimed as you picked up the pocket size intercom, "Goodness, how can I get anything done with that damn beeping" you sighed

You pulled the device up to your ear and clicked the accept button. A nasally voice came through the intercom.

"How is inventory coming along" the jacka- your boss questioned

"I just finished sir" you replied bluntly

     "Perfect, now then, I need you to go to the daycare storage in the basement and collect a few parts. Said parts are displayed on your device, after that you can go home. Ok. Good. See you tomorrow" he finished before the intercom clicked off the only sound left was static.

     "FANTASTIC" you called out to no one clear annoyance in your voice. "let's just get this over with and go the hell home" you sighed placing your fingers on your temples as you walked towards the daycare gate.

You made your way down the hall through a few intersections until you were just under the familiar gift shop that led up to the daycare slide. You passed the door to go up and made your way to the eerie set of stairs that lay just to the right of it.

"Here we go" you huffed making your way to the top of the staircase "I can't believe I have to do this and not the daycare maintenance" you grumbled descending until you reached the bottom.

You looked on your scanner and saw that you had six parts to collect. You quickly located the first five but the last one was much harder to find. Glancing around you noticed an abnormally large box in the corner surrounded by wires.

"I don't remember seeing that" you said aloud making your way closer to it.

You reached your hand out and noticed the box was cracked open. 'Maybe I shouldn't' you thought pulling your hand away slightly, but something deep down was brimming to the surface.

Curiosity

You just had to know what was in the box you hesitantly reached your hand over the crack, your fingers tingling at the touch of the rough wood. You slipped your fingers slightly into the opening and pulled the door gently open.

"Woah" you coughed as a cloud of dust covered your eyes

When the dust cleared the inside of the box was revealed to you. Your breath caught in your throat as you looked upon the figure before you. Inside the box was a tall lanky animatronic it had four arms and a darkened face, it's beams were yellow and orange and it's smile was slightly unsettling. You looked at its attire and saw the small daycare logo embroidered on the corner of his sleeve cuff.

"Are you the old model...?" You asked aloud

You saw a thick wire connected to his back and you assumed that was his charging cable. You stood there for a moment looking him up and down before unconsciously reaching out to touch him. As your fingers just barely brushed the fabric of his collar you thought you saw his eyes flicker.
