Issue #101: The Moon Bite

A Fake Report By Jonathan: "Unit 5 we have a visual on the missing girl who was found in the preserve earlier, what is your status, copy? Unit 10, this is Unit 5 we are 2 minutes from the site, I repeat 2 minutes from the site, over?

These were the first words heard over the radio by Jonathan Jr. As he finished making the call, he immediately got dressed and proceeded to rush out of his bedroom and leave his home. Meanwhile, Kevin Williams is currently in his bathroom brushing his teeth, then followed by his daily dose of push ups. He then heard a loud noise coming from the front porch of his house. Not knowing what it was he put on a set of clothes found lying on his floor and went to see what it was.

He got down to the front door and opened it to see who was outside. Not seeing anyone in sight he crept out slowly onto his porch. He got to his stairs and stopped looking as if he was about to give up on his pursuit. Then out of nowhere Jonathan came rushing upside down and scared the hell out of him, proceeding to tell him all the information he just found out.

"Sean what the hell are you doing?" said Kevin furiously and in shock. "Dude chill out, we have new info from my dad on the missing girl" Johnathan mustard with the little breath he had. "It's the last day of summer break man, I just want to go to sleep and get ready for the first day of Football tryouts" said a tired Kevin. "No dude c'mon, it's the only real lead we have on this girl and the body is bisected, literally split in half. We have to go check it out before the police find the body" said a very determined Jonathan.

Kevin agreed and the pair began to make their way towards the Mystic Hills Preserve. They parked on the other side of the woods so that. The police would not be able to spot them. The two boys then proceeded into the woods to investigate and Kevin then began to act a bit reluctant towards coming out to the woods.

"Jonathan, what are we actually doing?" said a frail Kevin. "Maybe I lied on the whole dead body thing... but brought you to the woods seeing that werewolves are real" said a confident Sean Jr.

Kevin Continues to try and find his way out of the woods and back home. He then hears a loud noise from a far distance, and not knowing what it is remains cautious. The fact that the surrounding area is pitch black also doesn't seem to help his situation. Out of nowhere, a herd of deer started to proceed towards the young teen and trampled him. It seemed like an endless number of deer just kept appearing without hesitation. Until the deer finally disappeared and everything went silent once again. He then ran for his life in fear of something bad approaching him. While running for his life he ends up tripping over a huge log and hurts his leg.

Kevin then heard a low growl from the area he just ran from. In fear and curiosity, he turned around to see what was behind him. And what he saw or at least what he thought he saw, was something unbelievable. An animal or something else with bright red glowing eyes was staring right at him. It was several feet away and, in his mind, Kevin thought he could get away. But before he could, the creature pounced at blazing speed towards the kid and knocked him to the ground. In fear for his life, Kevin tried everything he could to get away. He tried crawling but nothing came out of it, the creature just grabbed onto him and dragged him back.

The growl then turned into a loud roar, which could probably be heard by the entire state. A scream so loud that it seemed like it could've been the scream of a siren then came from the helpless boy. The creature had bitten down hard into the right side of his arm. The screams continued as the animal let go and allowed Kevin a chance to get up and run away. Back on his feet, he runs blindly through the pitch-black preserve only to end up on a road. To make matters worse an SUV then flies down the street and while standing in the middle of the road. The car then swerves and skids out of the way, just barely missing him. Now finally getting a chance to rest for a second and breathe. Kevin lifts his jacket to find a large bloody bite wound around the area where his right arm would be. The deep puncture from the bite marks created a huge rough circle on the right side of his arm. As rain begins to pour down from the sky, Kevin stands in the middle of the road panting heavily just as a loud monstrous roar occurs from the woods he just escaped.
