Couldnt you read the room?

Now that Bokuto came to your rescue he appeared to you like the only one understanding you, caring for you. I mean you see that rainbow you saw in his eyes that day was surely some godly sign .....
He came sprinting towards you people and easily managed to get you behind him.He took your wrist and pulled you behind him.Your heart was beating fast, faster than it ever did. You convinced yourself that it's because of the bullies after you ...but my girl you never know may be it's because the 186 cm shield in front of you.He began like , " What is happening here??? " He turned to you saying, " Y/N did you steal their lunch or something ?"
So yes this guy can never read the room.
You were so stupefied at his question that you couldn't stop yourself from hitting him.You hit him hardly on his chest saying , " Bokuto San? Really? Can't you see ? I mean really?...No I didn't steal their lunch."
Bokuto squealed a little saying , " Ouch , Y/N  why did you hit me? "
You and the bullies all were awestruck at his level of stupidity. Then the boy among the bullies came to the front and started to shoo Bokuto away saying ," Excuse me , This ain't your matter. So better step back.She is our friend and we were just talking to her a bit."
Bokuto looks at you and you denies it by shaking your head. That guy, what does he think ?he can just shoo our human shield away. NO JUST NO
Then you grabbed Bokuto by his arm ; standing on your toes; Bokuto leaning down a bit to listen to you.You softly tells him about why you were struck with these people.
Now Bokuto's protective mode was on. He went head to head to that guy.Being taller and more muscular he could easily get rid of those pests.He also warned them to not to bother you again saying , " She is my really really nice friend so you jerks better stay away. Then he raised his voice going ," And also now she isn't the bully.You are."
They went away babbling...blah blah blah. Bokuto turned to you and was ready to get some words of  appreciation but he only found you crying. Yes you were crying no more because of the bullies but because Bokuto shouted in front of everyone in the corridor that," NOW SHE ISNT THE BULLY. "
He asked why were you crying but you knew that he wouldn't understand even if you try to explain what he did .
So Now few days went by silently.
Others eventually got to know about your past and nobody actually dared to tease you about it.You had two friends from your class.They also got to know but they kinda didn't care about your past.Normal people do exist ,you know?
They were actually more shocked about you being such good buddies with the one and only Volleyball captain..."Bokuto-San "
When did you meet him for the first time? Are you childhood friends?  So are you both dating now?
Such questions were slapped on your face by them now.You explained them saying ," It's nothing and we are not dating.He just cares."(.... a bit too much , you tell yourself).After this fight all you could think about was this guy who always got your back.
Who could never understand the situation but never failed to understand you ...Who always cries when he can't play well in volleyball matches and goes in emo mode but can never see your spirits broken ..
