After being on the road for a while, they decided to take a brief stop to rest. Yoongi sat on a nearby rock, his curiosity getting the best of him. "Where are we going?" he asked, looking up at Jungkook.
Jungkook glanced at him with a determined expression and said, "We're going home. I'm going to kill the prince. I don't want Jin to live like this any longer."
Yoongi's eyes widened in shock at the words. "Kill the prince? Does Jin know about your plan?" he asked, his voice edged with concern.
Jungkook's face hardened, and his voice turned cold. "No, he doesn't. And you won't tell him either, understood?"
Yoongi, despite the intensity of the situation, rolled his eyes in response. He had come to understand that, despite Jungkook's threats, he wasn't going to hurt him. Still, the thought of confronting the prince and the consequences of such a bold move sent a chill down Yoongi's spine.
Before he could say anything else, a sharp cry pierced the air. Both of them looked up, spotting a hawk circling overhead. Jungkook immediately stretched out his arm, his face softening as the hawk descended gracefully and landed on his forearm.
Yoongi sighed and stood up, stretching his aching body and arms. As he extended his arms out, the hawk suddenly flew off Jungkook's arm and gracefully landed on Yoongi's outstretched arm. Both of them were caught off guard, and Yoongi could feel the weight of Jungkook's sharp gaze.
Panicking slightly, Yoongi awkwardly moved his arm around, trying to coax the hawk to fly back to Jungkook. "Ahh, hehehe, I really don't know why he's doing that," Yoongi said nervously, his voice wavering. He feared Jungkook's reaction.
But instead of anger, Jungkook's stern expression softened into a smile. "It's okay," he said quietly, his eyes reflecting a strange mixture of sorrow and affection. "I envy you, Yoongi."
Surprised, Yoongi looked at him in confusion. "Envy me?"
Jungkook walked over and gently took the hawk back onto his own arm, his movements careful and deliberate. "You've spent time with Jin," he said, his voice tinged with sadness. "I'm not able to. Not in the way I want. It's been years since I could be with him like that."
Yoongi swallowed, the weight of the situation sinking deeper into him. He realized how truly heartbreaking this curse was for Jungkook, constantly near Jin, but never able to be with him fully.
As they were getting ready to continue their journey, they spotted a horse pulling an old carriage slowly approaching from the distance. As it drew closer, Jungkook's eyes widened in recognition. The man driving the carriage was the priest who had once been a part of their lives, the one who had performed his and Jin's wedding ceremony.
