The next day I was required to go back to class, and for the first time in a while, I wasn't peeved about it. Training had always been a formality for me. I neither needed it nor wanted it, but without it, the elders would only grow less forgiving, and if I showed my true prowess I would be asked too many questions. So most training sessions consisted of copying whatever Fushiguro did. Needless to say, it was utterly pointless. But today I wanted to meet the fourth classmate as well as watch what the newcomers were capable of.
I arrived last to the training grounds exactly three seconds before I was told to be there knowing Gojou Sensei would be at least five minutes late. When I stepped onto the field I was greeted by an avid argument between Itadori and a new girl over what I believed to be sushi. I moved my gaze to Fushiguro who was as expected sitting on the bleachers watching the exchange with a less than unimpressed expression. I sat down next to him still completely invisible to the two growling teenagers.
"Good morning."
"Good morning. I'm assuming it's always like this."
"Typically."
"Wonderful."
It was then that Itadori must have somehow felt my eyes on him, and he turned to give me a blinding smile, "Su! Good morning!"
I returned a faint smile and waved, "Good morning, Itadori."
"So you're the other girl?" the other one looked to me to analyze me.
"Indeed. It's nice to meet you. My name is Rotasu, but you can call me Su," I tried to come off as friendly as possible.
"Cool. You're very pretty, but I'm sure you know that. Are you going to be like this dumbass who doesn't know anything about food or that asshole who can't humble himself to talk to us?"
She said it in a way that had no malice behind it. I just knew she had no filter or care to have one.
"The asshole. I usually don't talk much. Don't take it personally; I just tire from social settings quickly."
She accepted my answer with a nod, "Good to know. I'm Kugisaki Nobara. I'm glad to have a few more X chromosomes in the group now. Maybe we stand a chance at sanity."
I gave her a small chuckle just as Gojou Sensei decided to announce his presence behind Itadori scaring the living shit out of the poor boy, "Good morning class! Now that introductions have been made, I think it's time to start training."
"What's on the schedule today, Sensei?" I asked knowing he wouldn't tell us without being prompted.
"I'm so glad you asked! Today I decided to take you to a lovely cemetery not too far away. Come along now."
I stood up with a groan and followed him as we started towards our destination. Fushiguro followed suit, and soon we were little ducklings following our mother.
"Do I get to participate today?" Fushiguro asked from beside me.
"Yes! Now that Su is back, you can do whatever you want-"
"Don't make me save your life. I don't feel that benevolent today."
"-That said please do not solely rely on her as she may not always be there in the future," Gojou made sure to clarify.
"So Sensei told us you heal people, but that's about it. That's where you were for the past week, wasn't it?" Itadori asked far too chipper for the early hour.
"Yes. I am mainly used to help groups whose odds against curses aren't the best or newbies."
"She's being humble. Without her half of our Jujutsu sorcerers would be missing an arm and a leg. Literally," Gojou elaborated.
