Chapter 2

Your next stop was the daycare after leaving monty's room, there was about an hour left before the pizza-plex opened to the public. so you had to be quick to fix up the animatronic, "Damn, how do I get to the daycare again? John told me to come in through the second floor but how do I get into the actual daycare?" you were in the second floor and down below, you saw the daycare.

There wasn't any form of stairs or doors that led to the main play area, that is until you saw a multi-colored slide, "Slide into fun...?" you read the words labeled above the slide. "maybe that's how I get there?" you ask out loud, sitting down on the floor and placing your toolbox on your lap. You scooted closer to the slide, as you entered the plastic tube, you slid down the slide until landing in a ball pit.

Standing up from the ball pit, you held your toolbox and smiled, "wow, that was pretty fun! kinda wanna do it again" you grinned, trudging through the ball pit, you attempted to make your way out.

However, a cheery laugh echoed from above a balcony where a tower was painted on the wall, you were too late too see who had laughed because that person jumped into the ball pit.

"what was thaaaaaaaaat?!?!?!" you let out a short scream as something picked you up and spun you around. "HELLO There New Friend!!" a cheerful voice exclaimed, opening your eyes, you were met face to face with a colorful Sun jester-looking animatronic.

The sun based animatronic was colored to be various shades of yellow, the jester like pants that it wore were yellow and covered with brown-ish red stripes, and bells with red ribbons were tied around his hands. He was really tall to be honest, but despite being quite tall, he appeared to be really friendly.

"my my, what are you doing here? and so early? it isn't time for the daycare to be open!" the sun said, he got out of the ball pit and placed you down on the ground. "oh, um...I'm (y/n), (y/n) (l/n), the new mechanic. you must be the daycare attendant, right?" you ask. The animatronic stared at you for a few seconds before quickly giggling.

"that righty-highty! oh good golly, how silly of me! you introduced yourself and I haven't even done the same." he held out his hand for a handshake and bowed, "Sundrop's the name, don't wear it out or forget cause we're best friends starting now!" he said.

His cheerful demeanor made you smile, "It's nice to meet you, sundrop! we're definitely going to be best friends, I know so" you state, smiling at the animatronic. Sundrop let out an excited squeal and in an instant, you were pulled into a tight hug.

"great! so best friend, what do you want to do? want to finger paint? play jenga? what about monopoly? we can play hide and seek? ooh ooh! or do you wanna tell funny stories? we can color with glitter glue and googly eyes if you want!" Sundrop rambled.

"hmm...let's go with the glitter glue but before that, why don't we fix you up? your file says the bells around your wrists need to be changed and you'll need a bit of a repair on your arms" you look at his file but as you looked up, you saw sundrop crossing his arms as he sulked. "Hey, don't worry though, it'll be quick and fast so we'll have plenty time to play after words" you assured.

"hmmm...pinky promise?" sundrop held his pinky out to you, "pinky promise" you agreed, intertwining your pinkies and locking the promise.

Just like you promise, you got to work to replace the rust colored bells and fixed up his arms. Once the repairs were over, sundrop gave you another hug then ran off to collect multiple pieces of paper, his color collection of glitter glue, crayons, markers, stickers and sparkles.

Together the two of you spent the rest of your time drawing pictures and coloring shapes on the pieces of paper. "hey sunny, can you give me the blue glitter glue?" you ask, busy coloring with a yellow crayon, "sure thing sunshine!~" sundrop chirped and looked at his organized line of colored glitter glue.
