So here they were. Two extraordinary wizards stood across each other seven metres away. One stood with his head held high sweat and blood slowly dripping off his skin, the ever glowing fire reflected in his eyes making them glow a brilliant green, pure magic rolled off him in waves as he stood there facing his parent's killer for what would hopefully be the last time. Whilst the other stood in a somewhat intimidating stance his crimson eyes burning into Harry, he held his wand by his abdomen but took the liberty of always pointing it towards Harry, just in case he tried anything. Dark magic, hatred, and insanity flooded off of him. Hundreds maybe thousands of eyes bored into them waiting for even the slightest of movements, waiting for even the smallest of hints as to which wizard would strike first. Everything seemed to stall and suddenly, there was quiet, it seemed even the fire had the courtesy to diminish its loud crackling as it burned through what used to be a magical school but now was just ruins.

Harry stood there with a contemplative look in his eyes, you could only guess what was going through his mind.

"This is it. The last fight, everything depends on the outcome of this duel, I need to win, I need to prove to them, I need to prove to myself that their sacrifices weren't for nothing..."

Harry inhaled sharply as he quickly raised his wand and fired off the disarming spell, if you looked away for even a moment you would've missed it. Voldemort saw his sudden movement and quickly raised his wand and fired off a killing curse. The two spells clashed roughly with each other, the green of the Avada Kedvra glowing a bright almost emerald color, it matched Harry's eyes, and at that moment Harry realized why no one was able to specify the shade of green his eyes were, after all not many have seen the killing curses blazing green and survived. The striking crimson from the disarming spell matched Voldemort's eyes near perfectly. It was almost symbolic in a way. Harry's first of few connections to his parents was someone comparing his eyes to Lillys', his mother's green almond-shaped eyes. While Voldemort's eyes helped signify how far he's truly distanced himself from who he used to be, it shows just how far he's drifted, it shows just how fractured his soul is, it shows the extreme measures he took to completely disown his muggle father, to disown his origins, after all, he used to have his father's dark eyes.

Thousands of people watched on with anticipation and worry as these two wizards battle it out in the ruins of Hogwarts, the once beloved school and home of many, but now reduced to a pile of ash. Their spells continued to clash trying to overtake each other, Voldemeorts killing green curse began to slowly inch closer and closer to the young wizard, Harry pushed back with all his strength but it wouldn't budge. It seemed as if all hope was lost. The order looked on with acceptance marring their faces, and tears brimmed the eyes of many. Screams of anguish filled the air as they watched their friend, their brother, their lover... die at the hands of the wizard that stole his parents away when he was much too young.

At this point the killing curse was only a couple of feet away, but Harry continued to fight back no matter how pointless it seemed, he refused to go down without giving it all he's got, he would honor his parents whether he wins and lives to tell the tale or dies trying. He did it for them, he did it for their memory, and he did it for the world. He bared the burden of the world on his far too thin shoulders for much too long. There isn't much to say he tried his best it's just a shame he might fail. After all the pain and sacrifice, just to fail in the end how poetic. This was it. This was the end. Without him around what will become of the Wizarding world. Voldermort will probably go through with his plan of destroying all muggle-borns and becoming a terrible tyrant.

After what seemed like hours the killing curse met its mark. Though what happened next was a surprise, instead of the brilliant green burst that came from the killing curse when it hit its target something else happened. A dark orb emerged it was swirling with pure magic and completely submerged Harry to the point he was out of view. The dark orb began floating with Harry still encased inside the spectators watching on in confusion and worry.

Harry had his eyes firmly shut and didn't seem to notice the mysterious figure that stood before him, thus ensuing an awkward silence neither party knew how to react to. After what seemed like hours but in reality, was just seconds, Harry opened his eyes and immediately landed on the tall figure who seemed to be levitating though he supposes that's to be expected since he was under the impression that he was levitating as well. Not knowing what else to do Harry greeted them with a timid "Hello?" Now admittedly probably not the best thing he could've come up with but for Merlin's sake cut him some slack he just had another run-in with death and narrowly escaped; this would put him at about 347 run-ins, yes he kept count. Upon realizing the entity that stood before him was trying to get his attention... well at least he thought they were an entity they also could be a deity I mean what else would they be Kris Kringle, though perhaps Santa counted as an entity. Harry wasn't so sure. Once again he realized he has probably been away in his head for far longer than was deemed appropriate he once again tried to drag his head out of the clouds, but this time he was met with success. Finally tuning into what they were saying the entity or deity Harry still hasn't figured that part out, seemed to notice this, and began to introduce themself.
