Yu Yan had been annoyed for a couple of days because of a certain little lion. However, it could not last in the face of starting his medical course!
Entering the classroom, he walked in like an experienced student that has gone through years of struggles while learning, but in the eyes of his classmates, he sat down with the bearing of a five-year old with unmistakable wide eyes, like a child imitating the calmness of somebody's grandfather. He looked left and right, restless. He didn't know anybody in the classroom, but he wasn't discouraged. Rather, he was excited.
A few minutes later, the medical class' professor came in and introduced himself, all the while rummaging through his terminal's files and tapping it on the teacher's podium to download the correct file. The desks flickered, and an interactive holographic screen appeared in front of everyone.
Yu Yan was surprised in his heart but didn't show it. He looked around and inferred from the students' reactions that this was the most common way of teaching here. Thus, he turned his attention to the contents and downloaded the file to his terminal for later review just like the other students.
He had been interested in medicine for two lifetimes. Only in his second life was he now free to learn what he wanted, and do what he fancied. He scrolled through the course syllabus that the professor in front was discussing with a smile on his face.
Five seconds later: Yu Yan shining eyes.3dgiphy
Ten seconds later: Yu Yan constipated smile.3dgiphy
5 minutes later: Yu Yan unhappy face.3dgiphy
What, is that it? There's got to be more, right? Right??
No matter how many times Yu Yan scrolled through the syllabus up to the last page, the content remained the same! He stubbornly scrolled and even dragged the edge of the last page up, but the page also stubbornly dragged back down to its original place. Surely this was all just an introduction? Maybe there was another syllabus to be given before half of the semester?
Behind Yu Yan, the row of senior medical students repeating this hard class with panda eyes noticed the grumpy boy playing with his holo-screen, and started whispering among themselves.
"He looks bored."
"Don't enter the course of it doesn't interest you, damn freshmen don't know anything", one of them scolded with gnashing teeth.
"Medicine shouldn't be taken lightly."
"Ah, I bet he'd be the first to drop in this class", the senior seatmates all inwardly thought.
Any medicine field and study was hard on its own, but the course in Margaux Academy could have been said to be brutal. Seeing the only carefree person in the class of one of the hardest to please professors, the senior repeaters couldn't help but look down on Yu Yan.
It's like seeing your past arrogant self that you couldn't help but want scold.
So what if you managed to pass the entrance exam? These seniors didn't have time to be arrogant at having passed. Their first day was a hard realization of being sharks swimming with whales and megalodons.
Preoccupied by his disappointment, Yu Yan was blind to their dark atmosphere behind him. He could only accept the reality of his syllabus and grumble to his family. What else was there to do but to complain?
YanYan: The medical course is so boring T^T
The Feng's company had issued an update recently where everyone was allowed to set aliases or user ID's unique to one group or personal chat. This had been a great fanfare among the Trites and the chats have yet to calm down. Thus, it didn't take long for a flood of chaotic replies to follow Yu Yan's message.
