POV: Mx. Jae Olsen

I woke up the following morning with Sam wrapped around me. I sighed, gently elbowing her.

"Sam, you are gonna get my ass kicked, get off me." I shifted away from her, whispering softly to her.

I grabbed my towel and some clothes and made my way to the shower. As I finished my shower, I heard several housemates in the kitchen making breakfast.

"Morning!" I called as I dropped my dirty clothes on top of my suitcase. As I headed back into the kitchen, I caught sight of Sam.

"You are a comfy pillow." Sam commented, handing me a cup of black coffee. "Wasn't sure how you wanted it..."

"Black with two sugars works for me." I answered, adding the sugars. "Thanks. And I'd like to say this out loud, so my wife, who I know is watching is gonna hear me... My hands were tucked under my pillow the whole night."

The whole house burst out laughing.

The morning passed quickly and lunch was a group effort. After we finished, one of the producers made the announcement that the first competition was inevitable. We headed into the backyard and found a bunch of pillars; one for each of us. We were instructed to get on the top of each pillar and wait for further instructions.

Once all of us were situated, we were informed that we were to stay on top of the pillar as long as possible.

"Time Starts Now."

After about 10 minutes, water started to drip from fountains above our heads.

"Oh .... It's raining." I heard from a few pillars away, Matt L if I remembered right.

The 'rain' came down harder as the next half hour or so went on, getting harder and harder as time continued. Time went on, and people began to fall off. Finally it was down to Sam and me.

"Sam..." I whispered to her, getting her attention. "Do you really want this?"

"Doesn't really matter to me." She answered back, looking at me. "You?"

I laughed softly. "Don't you dare put me on the block." She looked at me confused before I let go and fell down onto the padding.

The rain ceased and Sam was announced as the winner. The whole house congratulated her. It took the producers a day to get her stuff into the HOH room. Once she got her key, she called us to see the room. With her being an unknown, like myself, I wondered if she was going to have photos.

"Welcome to My HoH room." Sam said as she opened up the door. The room had nice cream-colored walls, with black pillows and blankets, and a locked photo book, which I am sure had photos of Sam with Scar and Rose. There might have even been a photo or two of Lizzie. On the bedside table was a giant basket of snacks and candies. I could see most of her favorites: Hot Tamale candies, fruit snacks, Slim Jims, Jalapeno and Teriyaki beef jerky.

My eyes landed on an envelope with Sam's name on it.

"Ohhh family letter. I wonder how they are gonna handle this." one of the guys pondered aloud.

Sam picked up the letter and opened it, skimming it to make sure that there were no names dropped. She smiled and looked at me for a moment, her eyes flicking down to the letter. Seems there was a note there for me as well. The rest of the house took one last look around and headed back down stairs, leaving Indio, Marco and I with her.

"So, your other half sent you a letter. Any clues on who you are related to?" I joked, looking at Sam.

"I'll never tell." Sam rolled her eyes at me. "You gonna tell me who you are related to?"
