Love 🥀

———————

She sat on her bed, motionless, eyes fixated on the clock sitting on the bedside table. The clock showed midnight.

"40 hours."She muttered. "I haven't slept for 40 hours."

The realization hit her with a throbbing headache, forcing her to get out of bed. After getting up, the girl put on sweatpants that were lying on a chair; then, she took the first jacket from her closet, her phone and quietly got out of the bedroom.

She tippy-toed her way to the kitchen, turned on the lights, and opened the medicine drawer. "Insomnia's a bitch." The girl said while looking for a headache medicine. After finding it, she instantly consumed it.

The girl turned the kitchen lights off, and after finding the house keys, she got out, locking the door without making any loud noises. She then made her way to the building elevator and pressed the button. "I bet he's there." She whispered before getting out.

The rooftop of the building looked like any other except for the fact that it held too many memories close to her heart.

"Why don't you ever sleep, Wonie." The girl said, sitting next to the red-haired individual near the edge of the building. "Could ask you the same, Aerum." Jungwon shot back, smiling widely, showing off his deep and sweet dimples. "You know I have trouble sleeping," Aerum said, rolling her eyes. "But you don't, and still you're here. Go sleep, Wonie. You need it." She looked at him with concerned eyes. "But if I go who will sit here with you talking about absolutely nothing." The boy joked. Aerum smiled at the boy. "It's okay, Won. I am okay on my own."

"Lies!" Jungwon exclaimed. "You need my company!" The girl took a deep breath. "Jungwon, you of all people should be responsible and reasonable. Go to sleep! I can see that you're tired and don't even try to say you're not." Aerum glared at him."Okay." The boy sighed. "I am tired, so I will just sleep here." He said while leaning his head on the girl's shoulder. "Goodnight, noona." Jungwon soon yawned and closed his eyes. "You are ridiculous," Aerum whispered while shaking her head.

After making sure the boy was comfortable she looked ahead of her seeing the night sky. It was not starry, yet it was beautiful and somehow sentimental. The moon was barely seen, letting the city lights do its job.

This peaceful moment was broken by a phone continuously buzzing. Aerum looked around, trying to find where the phone was. When she found it she picked picked up.

"Jungwon, where the heck are you?" The other side whisper-yelled.
"He fell asleep on the rooftop. Come up help me get him back." Aerum said and ended the call.
