prologue // the past

Right now we were both hiding, hiding from someone, scared if they were going to find both of us,

"Shhhh," he says as we found our hiding place, "We have to stay down or else they'll find us both.." he says, holding my hand as I felt a small spark'

"Who's they?" I say curiously, wanting an answer since I just got here,

"Shh, be quiet..Let's just stay here, I promise we'll both be safe in here," he whispers, still holding my hand tightly, holding me oh so close to him. To be honest I don't even know where we are, everything seemed so dark, you could barely see a thing, but that's when I heard a bump.

"Niall.. Someone's here," I whisper to him, he probably noticed too, "Shh, we don't wan't them to find us," he says, we both sat down slowly not wanting to make a noise, until I saw a big dark figure coming closer to us, hearing it's footsteps, until it finally stopped, "Why is it so dark here?" the voice said as it bumps into little things along the way, the light flicked on, "Oh there you two are," she says , I looked over at Niall, and oh did he looked pissed, "Mum! You ruined our game!" he shouted, Maura's face turned from curious to a 'Aw that's just adorable' face, "What game did I ruin again sweetie?" she says giving both of us a wide grin, "Well hello there young lady," she says, helping both of us get up, "Mum! Please!? Lizzie and I are playing! Now please leave...Now!" he says looking really annoyed, puffing his cheeks and muttered a "hmph" as he sat down on his bed, I followed, "Niall, it's fine really..." I say, sitting beside him, patting his back softly, "Aww, you kids are so adorable at the age of 12 Oh my! I wonder how you both will be in your teens!" Maura says before leaving the room.

Niall looks at me his eyes looking on both our feet, "Lizzie, I'm sorry for that, mum ruined our special moment.." He says lying down on his back, I followed him instantly, "What moment?" I say curiously, looking at his blue eyes, he looked back, " This moment.." He says as he grabbed my hand gently and intertwined our fingers, remembering that a few minutes ago we both held hands, I blushed, smiling as my cheeks turn tomato red, I know this sounded cheesy but it felt like my dream had come true, I had this crush on Niall since we were 5. Niall let go of our hands, his deep blue eyes looking at me, "I need to do something.." He says as if we were like in a love story, he closed his eyes, leaning in, as his soft lips touched me, he pulled away, opening his eyes, he pulled away, "I.. I'm sorry.. I had to do that.. I just really like you and your really pretty," He says looking down on the bed, fumbling with his hands, I smiled looking at him, "Niall.. You don't need to say sorry, I feel exactly the same way.." I say slightly embarrassed, he looked at me, surprised, "Really?!" he says almost shouting, "Shhh, you don't wan't your mum to hear us," I say to him, softly calming him down, "I don't care if she hears us! I'm just too happy to care!" he says lying back down on his bed beside me, he held my hand and moved closer to me, "I love you Elizabeth Johnson," he whispers to me, drifting off to sleep.

This was the happiest day of my life, to be honest..
