As the slow Monday morning dragged on, more and more kids started to arrive.
The corridors were packed and the school driveway full of parents dropping their kids off. But still no teacher.
"Hey Thomas?"
"Yeah Harry?"
"Where's our supposed relief teacher?"
"Umm I dunno maybe in the staffroom?" Thomas grinned sarcastically.
"I'm not sure, because if I were a new teacher I'd be spending the whole morning at my desk getting ready for the day."
"We here's the thing Harry.... YOUR NOT A TEACHER."
" Your so hard to relate to Thomas."
"I don't need relating, you need some thinking."
" Well fine then. I'll do some thinking."
"Great" Thomas rolled his eyes.
At 8:55 am the usual school morning bell rung, and everyone was in their normal classes.
Everyone in Room 6 was sitting in their chosen seats and waiting for their teachers arrival. Harry and Thomas were sitting next to each other as usual. After a good 10 minuets there was no sign of the teacher. So Thomas stood up and walked to the front of the class and began a "Speech of wisdom".
"Good morning my class of lovelies" Thomas waited until the giggles past.
"It seems as if our angel of a teacher is running a bit late. So, do you wish to be a noisy class that screams, runs around, fights and dribbles? Or do you wish to be a class that stays reasonably quiet and stays calm?"
And just as Thomas had been expecting it, George Mc Gunnery yelled out,
"Lets do the first one! I like loud things!"
Thomas just stood there not trying to have a complete rage. Then finally he said, " Oh yes George, but we are all 12 so we have common-sense and sanity, so I suggest keeping quiet.
After a further 5 minutes there was still no sign of any kind of teacher. But just as Thomas and Harry were assuming the worst, they and all the others heard it. Not a rumble but more of a gallop. The noise echoed though the hallways. Then it suddenly stopped. Harry and the others all winced as the door creaked open.
"Is the teacher here yet?" A voice whispered.
"No?" Thomas replied
The door swung open and nearly hit the wall.
"Well hey hey hey everybody what y'all up to ?!"
It was Krystal, Room 6's class president.
Thomas is the deputy, but they both share the job."Hey Krystal, do you know where any sort of teacher is?"
"Well I know there quiet a few in this school"
Thomas face palmed
"Oh my god, Krystal you know what I mean"
" Yeah I do, sorry. No I dunno where this "person" is?"
"Well looks like it's our lucky day Krystal. Cause it's been 15 minutes and there's no teacher so looks like we're teaching !"
" Great let's try not to go insane" Krystal mumbled.
