Run

I ran. Away from... Nothing. But I still ran faster. I couldn't stop. But I did. I looked around. I had no clue what was going on. The forest was lonely, but warm. It was dark. I could make out the outlines of trees, but nothing else. I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened.
"James! Wake up!" My mom had screamed.
"The police is here!"
I had quickly gotten up from bed and ran to the door. I had no clue what was going on.
When I got to the door I heard banging.
"Who is it!" I screamed.
"It's the FBI! We would like to clear the building for an investigation!"
I quickly looked at my mom. She was scared but I don't know what for.
I slowly unlocked the door and the men came barging in.
There were about 4 guys. All of them dressed nicely with those "I'm cool" sunglasses. There was one girl dressed the same way but without the sunglasses. She looked at me once but quickly broke the eye contact.
"Have you seen anything suspicious lately?" One muscular man asked.
"No. Nothing suspicious sir." My mom said quietly as if she was scared for her life.
"Can we speak with this young gentleman outside?" The muscular guy asked again.
I looked at my mom and she looked back.
"May I first have a quick conversation with my son?" She asked.
"Ma'am, this is no time for th-"
"Please!" My mom sobbed.
"Fine. But only a minute."
My mom grabbed my arm and dragged me to the kitchen.
"Mom! What's going on?!"
"James, there is no time to explain. What I want you to do is go back to the back door and I will distract them. Just run!"
I couldn't understand what was going on. But I listened to my mother. Thank God the back door was in the kitchen. As I slowly opened the door, I could hear my mom talking to the agents about pastries while I "pee".
As I got the door open, I ran. I wouldn't stop running until I reached the forest that lay in my backyard.

It has been and hour since the incident. I was hungry but I could last. I was just a seventeen year old guy running away from the FBI. This couldn't be that bad. The sun was finally coming up. All I could do was think about my mom. How could I just leave her?! I didn't even know what was going on. But I couldn't go back until I knew for sure what was happening.
I was looking around in the forest but all I could see were trees.
All I had with me was a watch. Nothing but a sports watch. I looked at it and it was 7:14 am.
I decided to sleep. I needed my energy for what was about to come.
