Jason's P.O.V

"Jason?" her soft smile never faltered. She move's out of the way and hold's onto the door. "Come in." I walk in and turn around to face he as she closes the door. Once she turns around she accidentally bumps into my chest, she slowly looks up and apologizes. "Can you lead me to the couch, please? My river stones are in my room at the moment." I softly hold her small hand in my larger hand. Slowly and carefully I guide her over towards the couch and sit us down. She faces me and asks "Would you like a sandwich? I was about to make some because I  haven't eaten lunch yet." Feeling a bit hungry I politely accepted trying not to be rude and decline the offer. Lifting my hand and writing delicately over her skin 'Y-E-S . . . P-L-E-A-S-E'. She faced me with a smile and responded "Ok but first can you go get my stones on my nightstand in my bedroom?" I smile beneath my mask and move my hand on her shoulder before removing it as I stand. At a moderate pace I walked lightly towards her room.

The room's door was slightly ajar so I pushed it open to enter the room. While entering I silently observe the rooms neatness. After scanning the room my eyes caught sight of the river stones on the left nightstand. After retrieving the stones I silently stalked back towards the couch that the (h/c) haired girl sat. Once I caught sight of (Y/N) her face was downcast as she was silently tugging at her blindfold. When I reached her side careful not to hurt her I grasped her shoulder tugging her out of her trace with  a jerk. She quickly faced me with a worried expression until she remembered I was here having seemingly forgot whilst in thought. I sat back beside her on her  and grasped her arm softly.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

Jason gently placed the stones in my hand as if afraid to hurt me with every movement. I thanked Jason and slowly stood up from the couch along with Jason by my side. Once we were up I slightly tugged my arm towards myself signaling Jason to let my arm free. He quickly got the message and let go quickly, taking a step back to give me space. I lifted up my arms and tap the stones a bit to memorize my surroundings and head towards the kitchen with Jason quick on my tail.

When we reach the kitchen I look towards where Jason was standing and asked "Could you help me with finding the ingredients? Meaning the bread, butter, ham and cheese." I heard a shuffle assuming he was nodding and soon after he walked further in the kitchen. The sound of the refrigerator opening signaled that Jason was fishing out the ingredients. Taping the stones again I shuffle my way to the cabinets for a skillet, butter knife and a spatula. Soon I had found both and turned around just to run into a solid surface making me lose balance for a second. "Jason?" I asked wondering if he was who I bumped into. A hand on my shoulder told me he was who I bumped into. "Oh, sorry Jason I didn't know you were there." I looked towards what I believe was where his face was and smiled weakly as an apology.

We headed to the stove and laid the skillet on the front right burner "J, can you turn this knob to 300 ° F for me?" A few clicks later the burner turned on and subtle heat came from the stove warming the burner below the skillet. I held out my hand towards Jason asking "Butter please?" and he handed the stick of butter over to me. Opening the stick of butter and grasping the butter knife I find the edge of the butter and make a small slice gaining the butter on the knife. Quickly I transfer the slice of butter over to where the skillet was. The satisfying sizzle of the skillet alerted me that I had done it right. A confident smile appeared on my face through my satisfaction.

I tapped my knife around the inside of the pan figuring out where the butter was and soon found it and started to spread it around till it was fully gone. "Next the bread." Jason shifted and places two slices of bread in my open palms. Slowly I try to get them into the skillet but halt before I do in fear that I might burn my hands. Two hands wrap themselves around my wrist and slowly help me place the bread into the pan. I giggle softly and look towards Jason and say "Thank you Jason for the help, this can be pretty difficult on my own." His stare seeps through as I feel his gaze. A flushing feeling embraces my face as heat swirls on my face. Quickly I face the skillet breaking contact and resuming the task at hand. Jason lays a hand on my shoulder and does the rest of the work placing the food in the skillet.

Soon I grab the spatula and flip the two ham and cheese sandwiches trying to evenly cook the food. At a point in time I believed that the food was done and turned the burner off. Maneuvering my way around Jason I found the paper plates and placed the sandwiches on them. I grabbed our plates and asked Jason if he could help me over to the table. Once there I found a seat and scooted out the chair next to me signaling Jason to sit beside me. As I began to eat I could hear the shuffling of Jason's mask being lifted up. 'I wonder why he has the need to wear the mask?' For some time during our meal I pondered on what his face would look like. I contemplated asking him on his appearance and feeling his face.

The sandwiches tasted pretty good so our food was a success! We had gone back to sitting on the couch to get comfortable. Though the lingering thought on Jason's face was still on my mind. So I decided since he knows of my eyes I should be able to ask him about his face. Right...? "Hey Jason. . .?" I hesitantly said. He shifted to look at me as I held out my arm again for him to write. "C-can I. . ." My voice died down out of fear. Jason held my arm softly being patient for my words. "May I feel your face?" At an instant my face flushed and and I quickly stuttered out "W-well what I-I mean is can I f-feel your face to understand what you l-look like under the mask!"

Jason sat still making me feel tense. Jason then wrote 'T-H-E...R-E-A-S-O-N...T-H-A-T...I...W-E-A-R...T-H-I-S...M-A-S-K...I-S...B-E-C-A-U-S-E...M-Y...F-A-C-E...I-S-N-T...N-O-R-M-A-L.' He pauses for a moment then resumes. "K-I-D-S...W-O-U-L-D...J-U-D-G-E...M-E...F-O-R...H-O-W...I...L-O-O-K-E-D.' Another pause. 'W-H-A-T...I-F...Y-O-U...D-O-N-T...L-I-K-E...M-E...A-F-T-E-R?' With how his hand's shook you could he was scared beyond belief. "Oh Jason, I would never judge you for something as simple as looks." I hold both of his hands and face him with a sad smile. "Others judge me for my eyes remember? I understand how you feel and if it really makes you that uncomfortable than we don't have to"

His trembling hands slowly lifted mine up towards his masked face and placed them there before releasing them. Slowly I feel his mask and the small holes littering the plastic face. Soon I realized it was a hockey mask and a pretty worn one at that, scratches and dents littering it. My hands wander to the bottom of the mask and I silently wait for Jason's approval. He slowly nods allowing me to slowly remove his mask. I shift in my sitting position and gently lift up his mask and place it beside me. As I reach back up he grasp my arms. "It's ok Jason. . ." He lets go of one of my arms and writes on the other 'C-O-U-L-D...I...T-A-K-E...Y-O-U-R...B-L-I-N-D-F-O-L-D...O-F-F...T-O-O?' I nod slowly and he lets go of me to reach for my blindfold. He tenderly takes my blindfold off and softly rubs my face with is thumb.

Once his hands leave I silently reach for his face once more. My hands delicately trace the smooth but bumpy surface of his face noting all the differences. I cup both of his cheeks softly and look at him. "Beautiful." I say gently referencing what he had told me. Both of his hands covered my own, shaking violently. Then I felt liquid touch my hands and I quickly realized he was crying. Freeing my hands I wrapped my arms around him and hug him tightly. I rubbed his back and told him encouraging words, I could tell he hasn't had comfort in so long. He too was quick to hug back and we both sobbed in each others arms as the moon soon came to rise.
