I woke up to the sound of my alarm yelling at me, telling me exactly what I didn't want to hear waking up that morning. Time for school, at a good college with sucky professors. BYU is great and all but I would rather have schooling be easier. I reluctantly got out of my bed and looked down at the blaring alarm clock. Just then, my roommate, Kyle said, "Turn that bloody alarm clock off. I don't have classes as early as you, and I need my sleep to function today." I reached over and pressed the button that said snooze.
"That ought to teach him." I think to myself, knowing it will go off in exactly 9 minutes from the point I pushed the snooze button. I stand up and lean back slowly, trying to get the sleep kinks out of my back. After I feel satisfied with my stretching, I slowly move to my drawer, wanting one of my nice outfits today. I pulled out my red and orange flannel shirt, a plain gray tee shirt, and a white undershirt, I then pulled out some underwear and my jeans and belt. I take my pile of clothes to the bathroom and turn on the shower.

About halfway through my shower, I heard my alarm clock go off again. That dang thing was pretty loud. I then heard a string of mutters and maybe a few curses as Kyle got out of his bed to turn it off. I laughed a little as my little prank to wake him up worked. He seemed to leave the room, my guess, to the living room we shared with the 2 girls who occupied the other room. I finished my shower and shut off the water as I grabbed my towel, pulling it into the shower with me. I dried off my semi-long head of hair and most of my body before stepping out of the shower. I wiped off the rest of the water and got dressed in the bathroom, I moved out of the bathroom and back into my room.

I opened the window and looked at the sky, it was pretty cloudy outside. I put my hand to the window and felt the cold coming through it. It was the end of August, it shouldn't be this cold in Utah at this time. But I guess there are some weird days. It might have something to do with the UFO above the USA. It has been there for a total of 5 days now. Nothing has happened yet with it. We haven't been able to communicate or see what's inside yet. But a lot of people are skeptical. Who knows? My roommates and I have just decided to ignore it and go on with our lives. I walked to my dresser and grabbed my bag, full of my school stuff. I then walked out of my room and saw both girls walking out at the same time.

I then asked both of them, "Good morning! How are you both today?"

They just looked at me for a few seconds when one of them, Hailey said, "Just peachy. You need to replace that alarm clock. It is loud enough to wake Carson up, and she wears noise-canceling headphones." At that moment, I looked at Carson. She just looked a bit annoyed.

I then said, "But I can't wake up to anything else. I need it loud. That is the quirk of living with me." They just rolled their eyes as I said that. "Well, I think Kyle is in the living room, let's go embrace him with our presence." I turned around and walked into the living room. I looked right at Kyle, who was sitting on the couch watching some show on Yellowstone and about the animals there. I walked to the counter and grabbed my charging phone. I put my pack on the counter and walked over to Kyle. I sat down on the couch right next to him. The girls then walked in and came over to us. They went around the couch and sat on the other couch next perpendicular to the one Kyle and I was sitting on.

I turned on my phone to see the notifications I had and to see the time. I saw the time, saying 7:39 A.M. My first class was at 9 so I had time. The other 3 sitting near me had classes at 10. I started looking through my notifications and saw a text from my mom. I clicked on it to read it, but never could as my phone started making a loud siren sound. The TV also started making it. Then some text appeared on both my phone and the TV. It said,

EMERGENCY BROADCAST

SPACESHIP MADE CONTACT, THEY ARE INVADING.

GET OUT OF MAJOR CITIES, STAY AWAY FROM UNKNOWN PEOPLE OR ANIMALS
