Many believe mythical creatures don't excist anymore. I believe they do, they just don't like showing themselves because of all the messed up things that could happen if they were to show their presence. They show themselves to those who they deem are worthy. Ones with what people would call a wild and childish imagination. Many blame the sightings on them being a "trick of the eye" or " trick of the light". both those could be true. There are creatures who bend the light to show themselves, those who use dust to stay hidden.
