You stood there reminding yourself of the hardships in being a parent before walking off

It's been a week since the trial started, you almost lost if it weren't for your lawyer showing pictures of Refline and your Dad being friends

Suspense was killing you, panic attacks were killing you and Futakuchi was just calming you down

You were at the child home center waiting for Lucia to walk out, Futakuchi was behind you

You laughed, you knew about his crush on you since 3rd year middle school, both of you knew you weren't ready for a relationship

You said smiling

You nodded

You and Futakuchi followed him into the building and into a room of 2-7 years old kids

Just then you saw a little girl walking towards Luka with her sleeves covered despite it being summer

When she saw you, her eyes shined by your height

Tho she was gripping the end of Luka's shirt

"Lucia, this is Mr. L/N, he'll be adopting you as his younger sister"

She looked unsure but nodded

"You okay?"

She looked down in somewhat shame which got the three of you older ones worried

"Lucia, why don't you get comfy with your older brother while me and Futakuchi get your things, okay?"

She nodded, Luka lead Futakuchi to her room before turning around to you and nodding his head

Both you and Lucia were shaking, you both weren't good with people

She spoke, you flinched slightly but hummed in response
