"Thanks guy, you should't have done that. He'll be after you now" Mike thanks. I snort, "Bowers? Hes always after us".

"I guess thats one t-thing we all have in common" Bill says, walking down the small hill. "Yeah, Homeschool. Welcome to the losers club" Richie greets.

We walk into and alleyway, except me and Richie, because Richie decided to play this guys trumpet during the parade.

I take his hand, pulling him away. "What the fuck, dude?". Eddie comes back with three things of ice cream, handing one to me and Richie.

"Whatchu guys talking about?" He asks. Richie sighs, "What they always talk about". "I actually think it will end. For a little while at least" Ben starts.

Beverly furrows her brows, "What do you mean?". "I was going over all my Derry research, and I charted out all the big events. The Ironworks explosion in 1908, The Bradly Gang in '35, and The Black Spot in '62, and now kids being....I realized this stuff seems to happen every.."

"27 years" Both him and Bill say that the same time. We go to fair, sitting at a picnic table.

"Okay, let me get this straight. It comes out from wherever to eat kids for like a year? Then goes back into hibernation?" Eddie asks.

"Maybe its like, what do you call it? Cicadas. The bugs that come out once every 17 years" Stan suggests.

"My grandfather thinks this town is cursed. He says that, all the bad things happen in this town are because of one thing. An evil thing that feeds off the people of Derry." Mike explains.

Stanley makes a face, "But it can't be one thing, we all saw something different.". Mike shrugs, "Maybe, or maybe It knows what scares us most and thats what we see.".

"I saw a leper, he was like a walking infection" Eddie says. "But you didn't", we all look at Stan. "Because it isn't real".

"Not Eddies lepar, not Bill seeing Georgie, not Y/ns parents, or the woman I keep seeing". "Is she hot?" Richie asks.

Stan glares at him, "No Richie, shes not hot. Her face is all messed up. None of this makes any sense. They're all like bad dreams.".

"I don't think so. I know the difference between a bad dream and real lie, okay?" Mike looks at him. "What'd you see? You saw something too?" Eddie asks, looking at him with a nervous look on his face.

Mike sighs, "Yes. Do you guys know that burned down house on Harris Avenue?". We all nod, signaling him to continue.

"I was inside when it burned down, before I was rescued my mom and dad were trapped in the room next to me. They were pushing and pounding on the door, trying to get to me, but it was too hot. When the firemen found them, the skin on their hands had melted down to the bone. Were all afraid of something".

"got that right" Richie says as he looks behind himself, "What are you afraid of?" I ask. He turns back around, and fixes his glasses, "Clowns".

..

Bill puts a map up on the wall in his garage, and Mike closes it. Eddie sets up the projector, and we all sit down.

"Thats where G-G-Georgie disappeared, Theres the Ironworks, and The Black Spot." Bill points at the map.

"Everywhere it happens, its all connected by the sewers, and they all meet up at the-"

"The well house" Ben finishes. "Its the house on Neibolt street" Stan calls out. "You mean that creepy ass house where all the junkies and hobos like to sleep?" I question.

"I hate that place. I feel like its always watching." Beverly says. "Thats where i saw the clown" Eddie whimpers.

"Thats w-where It lives". Stan shakes his head, "I can't imagine anything ever wanting to live there".
