Three taps and a knock.

She remembered Kevin telling her over the phone before she entered the woods. It was childish as per her, like the sorts of codes and passwords little boys  mimicking the gangs in movies from across the street. It was like watching reruns of Horrid Henry and his purple hand gang trying to keep Peter away.

The door was opened swiftly as if they were waiting for her.

Well obviously they were the ones who called me here.

She stepped through the doors timidly, watching her steps and careful of her surroundings, looking behind her again she found the woman gone. She was all on her own now.

Walking through the doors she noticed the place barely had any furniture or any form of decor for that part. It was as if this was all a set up.

I can trust Kevin. Right?

Picking up the heel by the midsole so she can treat the pointed part as a weapon she made her way inside the almost abandoned cabin, steps meek like those of a cat and barely making any form of noise or disturbance.

She kept moving till she came across another door. A not so large chipped white door with a almost rusted door knob.

Isn't this how the protagonist dies in a horror movie?

Am I doing this right?

Ofcourse I am! I can trust Kevin, he won't lead me to danger. Right?

Besides the lady brought me here and this was the only way in this house.

I wonder if the lady made a mistake?

Her messy, jumbled thoughts came to a full-stop as the door opened with a creek and there appeared a tall buff man, with an undercut and a man bun. The hair neatly tied on top of his head and a few strands framed his face. She didn't get much time to analyze the young man as he swiftly moved inside the room being occupied by a couch and a table in the middle of the room.

Her senses were on an all time high. Every fibre of her being right now was telling her to be cautious. Maybe it was her faith in Kevin and his friendship with her or maybe it was just her desperacy to find a job was unknown to herself. She did not need for the man infront of her to know that she was desperate.

No need to expose your neck to a hungry wolf.

Savannah nodded her head as a form of greeting testing the waters if the man was up for a greeting. To her amusement he did not respond with any gesture except for making a quick eye contact. Tilting her head in confusion she followed the man when he walked towards the couch and gestured for her to sit.

She knew she was ignoring her instincts and that this could lead to problems. Big problems. But she was ready to risk it all. Either for the sake of getting a job to prevent from telling the truth to her parents or from the way her brain weirdly found a sense of amusement in the risk factor she was now experiencing after months of living a mundane life.

The man barely spoke but his aura and demeanor spoke volumes. He carried himself with power and grace and his face was stoic as if one snap from him can lead to destruction. This was a first for Savannah, she was barely used to the thick haze of danger that surrounded her the moment she gave her hand to the bald woman. There was something off about all of the happenings till now and she could not just shake off the feeling now.

Something is not right.

Either the woman or Kevin has tricked me.

"Now!", one word, exclaimed barely in a whisper, spoken with such authority and calm that it made her wonder if she was imagining things.

Next moment she knew a black cloth was pulled on her head and something like an ant biting pricked her neck. Any form of struggle she tried was useless as slowly everything turned into a black haze and her body went limp.

A smirk appeared on the man's face infront of her. A perfectly groomed eyebrow arched in amusement, black foxy eyes glistening with accomplishment.

Was it that easy?

"Doe secured. Meet me at the location."
