It was dark the night it all started.

The clock ticked loudly in the ears of Serenity Trelawney who sat in her office chair after waking up from a nightmare. What she hoped was a nightmare.

She and her younger sister of 6 years, Sybill always had the gift and curse of seeing bits and pieces of the future. Her life was a pained one since no one in the family felt the same way she did about it, including her sister. When she met her husband, Diego, and found out he had the same power that she did- and felt the same way, she felt heard. She felt understood.

She and Sybill's mother and father always prided themselves on knowing that the Trelawneys were gifted with the sight once more after skipping 4 generations. It was put in the papers when Serenity had her first full vision at 12 years old.

When the war between the light and dark commenced in 1970, the Trelawney's were put into hiding. After their year at Hogwarts was over, they went from house to house around the world until it was time to go back. Mr. and Mrs. Trelawney were killed in 1975 by Voldemort himself when he failed to find out just where exactly the children were.

An 18-year-old Serenity took care of a 12-year-old Sybill with the help of Diego and their found friend, Liam after contacting him via patronus.

When their hiding place was ransacked by Death Eaters, Liam was the first to offer help.

The Trelawney sisters and Diego were invited to stay at Liam's mother's home in America under the Fidelius Charm. Thus, Serenity and Diego finally settled down; with Miss. Martial's and Liam's permission of course. In 1977 they got married. Sybill acted as maid of honor and Liam was best man while Miss. Martial was the marriage officiant.

It truly was a beautiful wedding.

White roses and eucalyptus flooded the Martial Manor.

Serenity walked down the aisle in Liam's sister, Selene's design; and Diego was fully suited in a black and Slytherin green three-piece.

Liam looked at them both with pride, happy that even in the darkest times of their life, they found a way to stay together and make their life their own.

Sybill watched her big sister with tears in her eyes. Every day she looked up to her older sister. After their parents died, she put on her big girl pants and protected Sybill with all her might. She left the bad guys in the dust and they moved from place to place, confusing everyone about where they would be. No one could ever find them and it was all thanks to her big sister and her friends. Now she was getting married. Sybill was nervous that Serenity would forget her, but then she remembered just why they were running.

Not because a dark lord was chasing them.

But because they made a promise.

A promise to stick together.
