Pearl's POV

"Freak! Weirdo! Douchebag! Blockhead! Wimp! Dumba-"

"Let's stop the name calling there Ivy"

"...Do I look like a crybaby? For god's sake I'm not some helpless kid for those two to keep an eye on!" she keeps going on forever and I can't really blame her, they do always treat us like that. I'm not complaining but we can stand up for ourselves

"Honestly what do you think they were talking about? I mean for rider to get hyped up like that, it should have been something serious"

"Yeah, what if their trying to abduct us?" I joke

"Tell me that's not another one of your zombie apocalypse survival instincts kicking in" she joins in

"Or maybe they are trying to transform us into evil ninja rats?" I keep going

"Spare the sarcasm pearl, I really mean it, if you keep up with that any longer I'm gonna die from laughter"

I'm glad that did the trick, I was worried my partner in crime was finally losing her sanity.

"I'm gonna head out, see you at target practice..." I said, It's not that I wanted to drown the mood but Alex's signal from earlier was pretty urgent.

"Go on then"

With that we parted our ways

Now where am I supposed to find Alex...? The training room might be a good start because he usually spends most of his lifetime there.

I went up the grand staircase, the training room was on the second floor, right on top of our classes, I was about to take the turn towards the door and crap! Why did it have to be her?

"Well look who we have here? Alex's little errand girl" Kat spat out. She's surrounded by her minions as usual, those annoying youngsters never learn a lesson. Ahh I don't have time for this nuisance, get lost already!

"Don't scare her she'll cry for daddy" she pouts with fake innocence. Like I give a f**k

I just walk past them as if it's none of my business, which is true, really

"Hey, you think you're all high and mighty to avoid me?" now look who's furious...

"If you want to talk come one on one, I don't want to talk with some scaredy cat who can't even stand-alone without her bunch of followers, and don't stare so hard you'll end up burning a hole" I spat back

"You're asking for it..."

"What if I am?"

With that both of us slipped into 'Fight mode' and yeah the place pretty much turned upside down. Somehow we pulled apart.

"I'll leave you only this time, count yourself lucky." She went away murmuring to herself

"Same goes to you too" I remarked and finally got inside the training room and as I guessed before Alex was there...

"Hey..." I waved my hand, he saw me and came closer.

"Thought you'd never show up" he said brushing my shoulder playfully

"So what was all that fuss about in class, Ivy's super annoyed you see..."

"Well... there's this thing coming up and you could say Mrs. Thalia was going to sign you up for that death mission" He said scratching his head.
