My First Concert

This is an assignment I did for my English class. I actually thought it was good, so I figured why not share it with other people? Let me know if you like it! Enjoy! By the way, this is fiction!

At a concert, you might get a headache. You might have a slight loss of hearing because of all the booms, the screams, and the cries from the crowd. People like me would think it's all worth it in the end because depending on who you're seeing, and where it is, it could be a once in a lifetime chance. Most concert tickets, depending on what kind, are painful to think about paying for.

I'm going to tell you about my very first and only concert I have ever been to. It was a show in St. Louis on the night of August 27th, 2014. One Direction was my favorite band at the time, and their songs were very catchy with good lyrics to them. I remember that night like it had just happened. It was a warm, and windy night. You could hear the whoosh sound of the wind blowing hard. It began to rain as I for into the car. Once the car started up, the rain started falling faster. Drip, drop on the car. Then, when I got to the Edward Jones Dome, where One Direction was at that very moment, in which I couldn't wrap my head around, it began to storm. I began to feel scared, because I have an extreme phobia of storms. I thought about what could happen tonight. Was I going to meet the boys? Would the power go out in the middle of the concert? Would I make new friends? Well, I guess we'll just have to wait to find out. I was standing in line while I was thinking inside my head. I was relieved when I noticed the line finally started to move. I gave the big man my ticket as I walked inside quickly. I heard people screaming and yelling from near and far. I saw people shaking, and some wer crying uncontrollably. Some were jumping around and running in circles. If you didn't know, it's called fangirling. We were all told to find our seats, I was sitting in the middle of the third row. I told you concert tickets are expensive! The lights became brighter, and I heard plenty of gasps from around me. The boys of One Direction walked onto the stage. The moment they appeared, I felt a rush of hypertension and excitement go through me. Everyone, including me of course, was cheering. I heard the music to their song, "Midnight Memories" start to play. I believe a tear escaped my eye, considering how happy I was, unless the roof was leaking. I could tell that this was going to be one of the best nights of my life, and I will never forget it.
