"Missy! Missy! Missy!"
"Yes Addy, Why are you banging the door so early in the morning?"
"It's Snowing, Let's go and play out."
"Addy it's 4 am in the morning and secondly Mami will shout at us, It's very cold."
"Pllleaassee" , said Addy.
I just couldn't help but say yes to my cute annoying baby brother pouting at me.
So we went to the closet wore our jackets and ran down the staircase to play in the snow. We played for hours in the snow and yes Mami did shout at us for an full one hour .
My sweet and amazing memory of my family with whom I am no longer in contact with, is disturbed by a customer standing in front of me.
Ok guys, I love my job as a fashion designer and a boutique owner but one thing I absolutely hate are customers who buy a dress and then take pictures for their Instagram, post them and then come back to return their dress with an excuse.
This woman standing right in front of me is here for the 4th time this month who is probably now going to ask for the replacement for an another one of my dresses saying it doesn't fit them anymore.
With all the annoyance and anger in my heart, I ask the woman in a sweet tone, "Hello ma'am, how can I help you?"
"I want an replacement of this dress, here is the bill." Handing me the bill and white ruched dress.
"Okay ma'am, is there any problem with the dress?", I ask the women.
"It just doesn't fit me anymore" says the woman.
"Ma'am if you want we can return you the money but we can't exchange the dress for you with an another dress."I say to the woman as politely as possible.
"What do you mean you can't exchange the dress? I don't want the money I want an exchange", says the woman in an extremely high pitch tone.
Before I could reply the woman, "I am sorry ma'am, but we can't exchange the dress for you as our dresses are not fitting you as this is your fourth time in this month that you are here to exchange a dress.", my best friend Alyssa interrupts me
So, let me give you guys a short introduction to my best friend. Me and Alyssa met first time at my college. She was my very first friend in America. Since I ran away from my family who lived at Puerto Rico my English was not really fluent. Alyssa instead of judging and making fun of my accent like others made me her friend. She taught me how to speak English fluently and even let me stay at her apartment even when we barely knew eachother. As years passed by our bond grew stronger, she was not only my best friend, she was a sister to me, she was my family.
So let's get back to the point.
Hearing Alyssa's reply the woman looked shocked.
Then she shouted, "Someone call the owner of this shop, I want to complaint to them about how disrespectful their workers are".
Before I could say anything Alyssa again interrupted me and told, "Excuse me woman, the girl who is standing right beside me is the owner, so now take the money we are giving you and leave."
The woman's face was unreadable. I couldn't understand what she was thinking. Whether she was angry or shocked or what not.
The woman then took the money kept on the desk and left with her heels clanking on the tiled floor.
As soon as she left, me and Alyssa broke into a huge fit of laughter we couldn't understand whether we should be angry about the behaviour of that bitch or laugh about her silliness.
After composing our self after some time we came back to our all buisness mode and got back to our work.
The day passed by working around the boutique and attending the customers.
Right when I was about to decide the day's over. Walked in a devilishly handsome man wearing a three piece suit.
The man was about 6ft 2. He had curly brown hair. He had an aura around him that said "If you mess with me, I mess with you." He had an extremely amazing body.
With an face like the Greek gods. And he had an smile on his face.Wait, why is he smiling?! actually smirking.
And then the man in front of me spoke in a heavy Italian accent, still with that taunting smirk on his face, "If you are done checking me out, I have some buisness to talk about.""I was not checking you out." with an high pitch like that of an high school when she is talking to a boy she likes.
"Oh yeah sure, princess", said the man still with the same annoying smirk which seemed to be plastered to his face.
Completely ignoring the conversation we were having, I spoke "So what did you want to talk about?"
"I am Alejandro Vincenzo. I wanted to book an appointment for tomorrow for the wedding dress shopping for my best friend, Sofia. It has to private with not even a single customer around", said the really hot man standing in front of me whose name happens to Alejandro.
Even though the man was undeniably sexy I couldn't close my shop for this man, it would affect my buisness. Before I could deny his offer, he told "I know keeping the boutique close would affect your buisness but this is really important, name any price you want - 20000 thousand dollars, 50000 thousand dollar anything. I am ready to give it."
The man was pleading and requesting. He had this cute pout on his face just like my brother when he requested me at 4 in the morning to come and play in the snow.
I couldn't help but agree to Alejandro. So with an big stretched smile on my face, I said "Okay, okay, okay!! You can come for dress shopping tomorrow around 7 in the evening".
With an smile on Alejandro's face this time and not a smirk he spoke, "Thank you so much, you don't know how much this means to me".
"So I will meet you tomorrow", said Alejandro.
"Yes, tomorrow", I spoke.
Right when I thought Alejandro had left, he spoke with his head peeping in between the door," I know you were checking me out."
I couldn't help but smile at his retreating figure.
