Nenzy and I finally arrived at the gate of the village. And as expected Uncle Danny was already there waiting for her. He's their family driver for twenty years already and he's acting like uncle not only to Nenzy and her siblings but also towards me.

"So, we'll keep going now?" She started off, "Is it really ok that you'll go back alone? Want us to just drive you there?" She offered while wearing worried face.

"Nah, I'm ok." I said with assuring smile, "Besides, what's the point of just making Uncle Danny wait here if he'll drive me back home anyways?" I chuckled.

"Yeah, but are you really sure?" Nenzy asked worriedly.

"Come on Nenzy, our village is a safe place there are lights and guards that rounds time to time, so no need to be worried." I explained then tapped her shoulder, "You guys should go now, your family might be waiting for you already." I told her as I pushed her to their car.

"Good evening Nicole." Uncle greeted me, "Thanks for accompanying Nenzy."

"Good evening Uncle Danny!" I greeted back, "And no problem anything for my best friend." I said and beamed a smile.

"So, we're going now, take care." Nenzy said.

"Okidoki, take care also." I told her, "Uncle, be careful at driving." I reminded.

"I will, you be careful also." uncle reminded back, "We'll be going then? Goodnight!" Uncle added then got into the car already after Nenzy did.

"Goodnight uncle, goodnight Nenzy!" I shouted while waving at my hands to them.

I sighed, "I should go back now it's getting colder already." I then started walking back, so, night here in the Philippines can be this cold, huh?

I'm going to pass Jeremy's house again. Earlier when Nenzy and I passed by its so quiet seems like he's not home or just sleeping? But it's still early so I guess I was right when I told Nenzy he's out with others?

Well whatever! It's already none of my business and besides I shouldn't thinking of him right now I need to study for upcoming exams and work for the next season's designs. Too many work to do so distractions are not allowed!

"Nicole?" Someone suddenly called out my name, "Yeah, it's really you!" Speaking of distractions the person who distract me the most popped out.

"J-Jeremy?" I muttered as I bit my lower lip, I even didn't noticed that I'm already in front of their house? Geez, Nicole you really sucks!

"What are you doing strolling at night alone?" He asked while he's on the veranda at the second floor.

"Uhm...I just walked Nenzy up to the gate." I answered, "Anyways, I'm going back now, good night!" I said and about to leave.

"What? Wait a minute!" He stopped me, "Don't go yet, I'm coming there!" He said.

"Ah? No ne...ed?" Before I finished my sentence he's already on his ways so I just sighed as response.

"Tadah! I'm already here!" He said after jumped in front of me like a little kid, so cute. "So what were you saying?" He asked.

"I-I said that you don't need to come here because I'm going home anyways." I stated, "But you're already here?" I added.

"Yup, I'm already here. So what to do?" He started off, "Have you eat dinner already? Mind to come inside?" He asked.

"Done already." I lied, I can't stay here any longer. "I don't want to be rude but I really need to go home now?" I told him and the smile on his face suddenly vanished.

Eh? What did I do? Why he suddenly frown?

"Is that so?" He deeply sighed, "I thought I only found someone to talk to because I'm so bored being alone in this house." He said and sighed again.

Is he trying to hit my conscience? Because he's succeeding? Especially when he wear that expression. Ugh! Why you doing this to me?!

"Then, I'll just walk you home?" He offered forcing a smile.

"Ok, you win." I sighed as a signed of defeat, "I guess, I can still stay for ten more minutes?" I told him and his cheerful smile came back.

"Really?!" He said while holding my both hands, "Wow! Thank you so much, Nicole! You're really my savior!" He said beaming me his killer smile.

I already agreed to stay here so please will you stop trying to melt me with that smile? And also, what are you talking about that I'm your savior, isn't it the contrary?

"S-So, what to do now?" I asked wearing an awkward smile.

"I don't know?" He quickly answered wearing a big smile.

I suddenly bursted into laugher, "Seriously? You even did reversed psychology to make me stay and you'll say you still dunno what to do?" I piped up, "That's so lame, Jeremy?" I chuckled.

"Wow? So you can actually laugh normally?" He said leaving his mouth opened, I then stopped myself laughing by biting my lower lip.

"So, you thought of me as abnormal?" I pouted.

"Woah! You can also sulk cutely like that?!" He reacted while he leaned towards me that made me blushed.

"A-Annoying!" I cried that made him shocked, "So, you want me to stay because you want to make fun on me? That's so annoying!" I protested, "I'm going home, night."

"Huh? No, Wait! Don't go yet." He grabbed my wrist to stopped me, "I'm sorry, please stay." He begged.

"She's not there yet?" I piped up, But it's kinda late already? Where did she go? "Uhm, Nanay, when she's back kindly tell her to text me immediately, thanks and good night Nanay!" I hung up already.

Where the heck are you Nicole Lopez? I just left her for a month and she's already like this? We really need to talk.
