Once
In a universe
In a solar system
On a planet of life
There lived a light
A bright, shining light
Who was quickly noticed by others
Even if it was not many at first
He was noticed
And he helped others to shine
To find themselves.
And even if some shone brighter then him
And even if not all appreciated his light
He would not care
Nor give mind
He'd smile
And continue to help
The people whom he loved.
One day
One unfortunate, fateful day
That light started to flicker
To burn out.
Everyone rushed to worry
Or to tears
And yet, he smiled and said
"Do not waste yourselves on doubt
No matter what happens, I will persevere
I will be here."
With those words
He made everyone believe
He'd forever shine
And even when he was in pain
He would smile even brighter
He'd joke around
Still helping others to smile.
For a while, everything was ok again
Until one day
The darkest day
Where
That light
Burned out completely
And on that day
The World went quiet
The only kind of noise that rang out
We're the sounds of mourning
Of tears that flowed into rivers,
Lakes,
Oceans.
However
Unbeknownst to the people
His light rose to the sky
The heavens
And became one of the brightest stars
And from there he would continue guide the lost
And from there
He'd speak again
"My passing may sadden you
It may seem to break you
However please
Do not focus on the fact that I am gone
Focus on the fact that I was there
On the fact I made you smile
Even in some of the darkest times.
What I said is true
I will persevere
If not through body
But instead through mind and memory
I am still here
Shining
And waiting for the day we meet again
I love you
All of you
