"It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets" - Voltaire

In a time long ago, a powerful deity named Grayson existed. Though he had everything a being could desire, Grayson felt dissatisfied and isolated. He struggled with the realization that no matter his immense power, he still had limitations, causing him to sink deeper into his loneliness and isolation.
"Gray, have you ever thought about finding somewhere to learn about being mortal?" Eleanor asked, her kind eyes looking at him with concern.
Grayson was taken aback by the suggestion. "Why would I want to do that?" he asked, perplexed.
"Well," Eleanor explained, "It's good to gain perspective. If you understand, you might appreciate being a god. Just a suggestion."
Gray pondered her words for a moment. "You know what? You're right. I think I'll give it a try."
And so, Gray set out on a journey to learn about mortality, with Eleanor's kind words guiding him.
The only question was: How?
After much contemplation, Gray came up with a plan to seek out a place where he could experience what it means to have limitations. He knew that he needed to understand the struggles of those who lived with constraints, and he believed that it would help him find purpose and happiness.
Gray embarked on a lengthy quest to search for a place where he could confront his desired limitations. He explored different planets and galaxies but was unsuccessful. Eventually, he stumbled upon a small world full of life and diversity. This planet presented unique challenges and limitations that Gray was seeking. He realized that this was the place he had been searching for.
"El, I appreciate your input," he responded, "but I have weighed the options and believe this decision is the best course of action for me."
"I understand that," Eleanor replied, "but have you considered the potential consequences? This could anger or upset the higher gods because of its significant impact. And let's not forget, it was my original idea."
He paused for a moment, taking in her words. "I hear your concerns, Irene. But in the end, I must do what I believe is right for myself, even if it comes with risks."
Upon landing on the planet, he transformed into a mortal and lost most of his memories of his previous existence. He lived among the locals, struggling with everyday obstacles and adjusting to his limited knowledge and abilities. He gained firsthand experience of living within his limitations.
Gray had a strong desire to experience all that life had to offer and was constantly searching for moments of joy, no matter how brief.
Unfortunately, he realized that life on Earth can be harsh and unforgiving. Especially in this world.
A world with monsters that crept from the outside of the border. Most of humanity had been killed by these monsters.
Abothlings.
And so despite his best efforts, he found it difficult to find happiness in his new environment. Gray felt alone and disconnected in this world, and he questioned whether he needed to alter his perspective.
