Sarah was sitting at the table with Sam, Norman, and Winter were eating dinner, which was pasta with tomato sauce.

"There is something that we need to tell you, Norman and Sarah." Sam said.

"What is it, Uncle Sam? Are we going to the store tomorrow to buy candy?" Sarah asked.

"Nope." he said.

"Are we going to the movie theaters tomorrow to see, "The Return of Norman-Man?" Norman asked.

"It is not one of these things, you two. You guys are going to get a check-up, and you will both be getting a booster shot." Winter said.

"Wait—what? We are going to a check-up tomorrow?" Norman asked.

"That is right, Norman. We are going to the hospital tomorrow. My mom is a hospital worker." Sam said.

Sarah began sweating a little bit. She felt sick in her tummy. She did not feel like eating.

"Can I have my shower, Uncle Sam?" she asked.

"Are you sure you are not going to eat, Sarah?" Sam asked.

"Well—I am full."

"Okay. You need to wait until I am done eating."

"Ok."

After they took their showers and they brushed their teeth...

"Something tells me that being full was not the reason Sarah left the table, Aunt Winter." Sam said.

"I can tell that she was nervous when we said she was getting a booster shot tomorrow." Winter said.

"We need to talk to her. You know, to try and ease her mind."

"Good idea."

"I need to go, Sam and Winter. I hope my mom and Derek will not be mad at me if I am home late." Norman said.

"We will see you tomorrow." Winter said.

Norman closed the door on his way out.

In Sarah's bedroom, she heard Sam and Winter opening the door. They noticed Sarah's worried face.

"What is wrong?" Sam asked.

"I—I am scared of getting a booster shot! It is going to hurt bad!"

Sarah started to cry.

"Aw, kiddo.. Come here." Sam said.

She hugged Sam tightly.

"I am so scared!"

"I know. You need to stay healthy. You will feel a small pinch, then it will all be over."

"I know, Uncle Sam. But—needles are scaring me."

"You need to be brave. Norman is getting one, and he is older than you!" Winter said.

"That is why you need to be brave. Not only for yourself, but for Norman."

"I—I guess. It will be scary!"

She starts to cry again.

"We know it is, kiddo. We will be there the whole time."

"While I am getting the shot, is it okay if I hold your hand, Uncle Sam?"

"Yes."

She felt better but a little nervous.
