The next morning Lord Dawson visited the Leighton residence "oh my Lord Dawson I wasn't not expecting you" "oh sorry" "follow me" said one of the maids then she walked in "Miss. Annabel the Viscount is here" she gasped "oh gosh Abigail get ready the Viscount is here" he walked through "Lord Dawson welcome" "hello are you here for Abigail," "no Mrs. Leighton I'm here for Madeleine," Abigail faced dropped and so did Annabel's "excuse me" "Madeleine is she here" "umm let me see," they walked upstairs "mother you aren't going to let him see her are you?" "Of course not why on Earth would I do that" "oh okay so let's go," they walked downstairs and they smiled "i'm sorry but Madeleine is not here she has stepped out to our garden," she smiled little did they know she was actually in the gardens. The Viscount was disappointed but persistent "oh" "but if you would really like to see her Abigail can take you out there," "yes I would like to see her" she walked out with the Viscount to the gardens. She tried to spark up a conversation "Beautiful gardens aren't they?" "Yes they are. Are we getting closer?" "Umm" then they saw her "oh there she is thank you" he said leaving then walking over to Madeleine and approached her under the gazebo. He cleared his throat and she looked up "Alexander" "hello Madeleine" "why are you here" "I came to see if you will give me a chance," "why should I?" "Because I can show you things I can be a provider," she interrupted him "no no I could care less about being a man I want important stuff things I want to know not need to know," "oh okay well" he said next to her "what do you feel like is the most important thing any person should respect" "well as a lady in today's society I feel that people should just respect other people," "okay be more specific," "like everyone should not be in everyone's business and think their opinions matter when it doesn't," "I feel that way too like older women really are the main ones who stick their noses in everything" "that very true my lord" "okay now ask me a question" "why are so fixated on me and not my sister" "well when I first saw you it was at Penelope's wedding and I was memorized and then when I heard the new list of ladies I hoped you be there but you weren't so I went to your ball to see you again," "that doesn't answer my question," "okay look Abigail is a beautiful lady but she's a terrible person she so self centered but you, you're not like that you're beautiful and you have a sweet heart and that's really attractive," she smiled. He took her hand "would you please give me a chance" she smiled "yes I would give you a chance," "yes" "great i'll be over tomorrow because you mother is staring at us from the house," "oh my well then i'll see you tomorrow," he bowed and then he left.
The next day the family went out to the derby races, Lord Dawson sat next to Madeleine "do you actually like derby races or did you just sit here clueless," "no i love derby races i go to the all the time," "really what horse do you think would win" "i believe that Ginevere will win," "really i believe that Shooting Star would win," "hmm shall we hold a bet then" "what do you have in mind" "winner chooses what we do next time, and the loser has to go tell Abigail that she looks beautiful today" i laughed "fine have fun telling your sister how pretty she is" "hmm i hope you like Falconry" "is that what we're doing" "i don't know let's see who wins" then the race started. Shooting Star was winning until the end Ginevere won the race she smiled then she shooed him towards Abigail he walked up to her "oh m'lord what can i do for you" he forced a smile as Madeleine laughed in theirs seats "i just wanted to say you look beautiful today" he forced out then walked away. Madeleine laughed "oh my that was hilarious we should do this more often aye?" she smiled cunningly "you sure do enjoy torturing me" "yes i do and her reaction is priceless" she laughed he turned back at my sister who is blushing extremely hard then saw Lord Dawson sitting with Madeleine then she was flaming. He laughed then looked at Madeleine "so tell me what are we doing tomorrow" he asked, "tomorrow we are going to one of my favorite places," "and where is that?" she smiled "fencing areas" "you fence" "do you" "yes of course every boy has learned how to fence" "great" she smiled "do you want a lemonade" "i would love some" he put his arm out for her to take then they left to the refreshment table.
The next afternoon he showed up "are you ready to go fencing," "change of plans we aren't fencing" "really then where are we going" "follow me and i'll show you," "okay" he said hesitantly and followed her into a carriage and then drove off. They arrived at the local art museum he smiled widely "oh i love art" "really i thought you would be bored with this," "no i would never I especially love the opera it's a great way to tell a story while showing off beautiful voices and in the different languages it's just beautiful," "okay then well let's find some paintings and sculptors and tell me the meanings will you," "I would love too," she smiled as they found the sculptures and they talked about the Greeks and how they inspired others to create these beautiful god-like men. Then he talked about how nudity represented certain things depending upon the sculptor and what his message was. He really and truly impressed her; she had no idea he knew so much about art. At the end of the museum "you really surprised me i didn't know you like art so much," "it really and truly is a surprise but i do i feel like we all need art in our lives to really appreciate everything we have," "that's a really beautiful way to say we need to get out more," he laughed "no seriously landscape art is really and truly beautiful it shows that our world is beautiful and it's underappreciated," "okay then what about portraits" "those are different i feel like they are for us to no fall in love with beauty because we are to look deeper into it. It also shows how much we just accept women because they are beautiful or men because they are handsome it's just upsetting that this is our society," "yea" she was so fascinated she didn't want him to stop talking, but they had to go home so he took her home and bided her goodnight and hoped to see each other tomorrow.
