chapter 1

It was very dark at night around 11:56pm. She was running as if it was the end of the world. She
ran till she's finally tired. she squatted for a while. she saw him in front of her the moment she raised her head.

“please don't do this please don't.” She said crying.

“I have heard enough please let me go for the sake of Allah.” she pleaded but he didn't listen at
all. He dragged her back home.

They entered the house and he pushed her until she hitted her head.

Her mom quickly comes Closer and holds her but her dad drags her mom away.

“do you want to shame me?” her Dad shouted.

“ Do you want everyone to talk about us? Why did you try to run always again?"
He gave her a Very good dirty slap.

Her brother dragged her into a room and beat her up. Ifrah's mom was completely helpless and
couldn't do anything. After they beat her she cried a lot until she fell asleep.

It is Saturday and is her wedding day. Ifrah was getting ready with her friend in a room.

“When will he come and pick you? Is already late and the wedding is very soon.” her mom
asked.

“I know he will come because he loves me” Ifrah replied crying.

“What if he didn't come, what would you do?.” her mom asked.

“I will run away then but I will not marry this Old man.” Why are they trying to sell me away? What's my fault?.” she said with her shaky voice.

Her mom packed all the money the old man gave her father and gave it to Ifrah.

"My dear daughter, I will surely miss you but please take care of yourself for me. Is going to be very hard but your father and brother must pay for all they did"

Her mom helped her runaway through the back door. Everyone thought she was getting ready.

Her mom gett along with everyone as if nothing happened. Ifrah's silence was quite long so her
father ordered her brother to call her. They knocked on the door but it was close. They shouted her name but no response. They break down and to their surprise they see her wedding clothes on the ground and she runs away.

“you let her run always right? You will pay for it.” her dad said holding her mom’s hand.

That's how they went further looking for Ifrah everywhere but they couldn't find her.

After Ifrah left, she went directly to where her boyfriend stays but he is not there. She asks his Friend but he refuses to tell her. Ifrah insisted and he gave her the address.

Ifrah reached the house finally. She knocked at the door but no response. She kept knocking still no response.

One of the women from the neighborhood came out and told her that now one Is there. But ifrah didn't believe knowing that kadir is definitely inside.

She shouted "kadir I know
you're inside".

Kadir was right in front of the but didn't open the door.

Few minutes later kadir opened the door and she entered shouting at him.

“Why didn't you open the door, why?tell me why? I just ran away from my home on my wedding Just to be with you.” she shouted at him.

“I know but if your father and brother find out you know it is not going to end well.” he replied.

“I don't care. You were supposed to pick me up but you didn't and left me hanging here. When will you change kadir?. Ain't you ashen of yourself.” she said glaring at him.

“ifrah how are we going to live now I don't have money.” he said.

“ money? You're talking about money again?” She brings out the money her mom gave her and Throws it on him.

“Here is a lot of money, take as much as you want but you know what, I am not gonna do this again. I am completely fed up with your craziness and selfishness. Anytime I will do something I do for
"we" but all you know is "me”. She said turning back.
