The group was wandering through the forest, a little bit away from the camp borders. And then, the ground shook. "What was that?", asked Ella, who took out her trident. "I don't know", replied Katherine, "But I don't want to stick around to find out". The group sheathed their weapons and kept venturing through the woods. Then, the ground shook again. "Okay, now I think we should stick around", said Jasmine, as she drew her colorful sword. The rest of the group nodded. A tree started rustling. The group backed up, and Katherine pulled back an arrow. The trees branches were pulled back, as a griffin emerged from the leaves. It screeched at the demi-gods, ready to attack. Charlie and Cameron drew their blades, and rushed at the monster, as Katherine shot an arrow. Jasmine slashed at the creature, making sure it's dangerous talons were focused on her blade. Ella went to the back of the bird, stabbing at the birds wings. The five of them were able to hold the bird down. Ethan ripped out his blade and slashed at the creature. The griffin let out one final horrible screech, before it lay there, limp. "Well", said Charlie,"That was one heck of a fight". The group then walked away from the bird. Cameron was deep in thought, about the years he had spent learning about these horrible monstrous creatures, and about how many would attack them. He shivered at the thought of being overwhelm by the blood thirsty monsters. He pushed the thought to the back of his mind, as he walked on through the woods.
