Gwen P.O.V:

Star Guardians. Their goal is to protect the universe from corruption. If you told me in my many years of living I'd join and be an original member, I'd have laughed in your face. But I was a part of it, recruited by a peculiar girl named Zoe. She had someone called "First Star" recruit her to protect this universe, and she traveled around this galaxy to find me. She was the most powerful teammate I'd have, she and I were to be the only Star Guardians ever needed for thousands of years, the true original Star Guardians. We fought tens of thousands of battles, whether it was a small ant with the power able to blow up galaxies or an entire planet itself with the power that doesn't do much, we fought so much. It scared me to think of the day it went terribly. When Zoe went haywire, we were on a planet soon to be where Valoran city would be. The birth of the future Star Guardians that would save us.

For over thirty years I've been tracking Zoe's abilities and behavior, I know she's been not like herself. And I didn't know if it was from her constant fighting against creatures or if power finally went to her head. She's killed so many innocent signs of life and it's been making First Star and I upset at her. The final sign that she's been too much is when she blew up a planet with a chance to contain life to help expand the Star Guardian team.

Gwen: You've been worrying me, Zoe, First Star always told us to not abuse our power.

She stared at the ground giggling to herself. Her movements were sporadic, I could see some of her orbs come from her hands building up to do another attack.

Zoe: Nothing in this universe can stop us, we're the strongest. We could kill everything and end all life in this universe!

Her giggle turned into a full laugh. Sweat dripped from my head as I got my scissors ready to stop her if needed.

Gwen: We took an oath, the Star Guardians pure these worlds. You're the original, don't betray the oath, Zoe!

Zoe launched an orb leading up to a planet nearby. Nuking it, it disappeared instantly. I couldn't even see her launch it, it felt like she just blew it up right when she snapped her fingers. I could feel my blood boil as I looked back at her angrily.

Gwen: Zoe stop, god dammit!

A small amount of black corruption went across Zoe's arms and up to her face. My eyes widened and my heart dropped. I could feel the swell of sadness and anger fill me as it kept circling. I shot myself at her, taking her to the floor of the planet. It had a purple cliff that she almost went off of.

Gwen: The corruption! Zoe stop!

Zoe: Nothing can stop me.

She threw another orb from her hands aiming at another planet. I quickly got up and shot myself toward the orb and cut it and completely made it disappear. A giant light flashed in my face, and the First Star sent me a message through my head "Stop her corruption."

A rush went through my blood. I could feel First Star's power help me speed toward her. I tackled her straight to the ground again. I tried my best to restrain her, but the corruption still slithered through her skin. It went through her eyes making them darker and scarier.

Zoe: Last chance Gwen, if you stop me I'll kill you.

Gwen: After these thousands of years, you make this happen?! You're a traitor! I'm not letting you hurt another person! We had a chance to finally have a future for Star Guardians! Maybe a future for a world in the making!

Zoe shot an orb at me. It hit me directly in my face and immediately that corruption shot stung. I let out a large scream as it burned through my cheek. First Star got it out of my system quickly and gave me my strength back. I could feel my sadness finally start taking overseeing my best friend start attacking me. Thousands of years of constant friendship were torn apart in mere seconds just from this.
