2 : The Tragic Ending Of The Queen

Seungcheol then after a few seconds, fainted. He's still alive, he just lost his consciousness.

"Check his pulse!" The queen immediately ordered, and the maids and guards gathered around the prince. The Kingdom's General, Joonki checked the Prince's pulse.

"He's alive, your highness." Joonki declared and gave the other guard a signal to carry the young prince.

The queen immediately followed them towards the palace, worried sick for the young heir. Meanwhile, the father-son, Prince Rowoon and his father, Prince Woon, couldn't hide their disappointed faces.

"We'll get him sooner." Woon uttered before following the rest of the palace staff along with the current queen inside the palace.

Meanwhile, King Cheol didn't even care about his son's condition and status right now. He's still in his deep search for the merpeople, which he knows, exist.

Suddenly, a palace servant came into his study room under the order of the current queen, "Your highness, the Queen demands your presence for the sake of the young prince's condition." The maid politely said.

King Cheol turned his head to the servant, and thought about it at first before sighing and turned his head on his right hand, the General, Joonki.

"Never stop searching for them. We must get a mermaid or a merman as soon as possible." Cheol said before leaving the study room. Joonki and the other servants bow their heads down as Cheol made his way towards the Prince's room.

As soon as he got there, Seungcheol was already conscious, yet also looking so pale. There, beside him was his mother, the Queen. At the corner there was Woon and Rowoon.

"Father!" Seungcheol's face immediately brightened up as soon as he saw his father, the King, who never cared about them.

"How's the Prince doing?" King Cheol didn't even bother to take a glance on his son, and quickly put his attention on the Palace Doctor.

"He's already stable. Just a bit pale. He almost drowned earlier. Based on his statement, seems like his cousin pushed him towards the water." The Palace Doctor said and took a glance on Prince Rowoon before looking at the King.

"Rowoon?" The King asked to confirm, and the palace doctor nods its head.

"And a person with a fish's tail saved me!" Seungcheol excitedly told his father, which caught Cheol's attention. Seung isn't liking the sudden attention Cheol is giving to their son. She knows that it's because of what Seungcheol said.

"What did you say?" Cheol asked, and slowly walked towards Seungcheol.

"A person, he's also around my age I guess, saved me. But with a fish's tail. It's a sparkly sky blue tail!" Seungcheol shared his story, which piqued the King's interest.

"Where did you saw him?"

Seungcheol saw how his father's face changed, and he suddenly got scared on how serious Cheol's face is, "I-I don't know exactly. He just grabbed me and brought me to the shore." Seungcheol said and then he earned a slap from his father.

"Useless information!" He shouted, and Seung immediately motioned herself. "What the heck are you doing to your son, Cheol?!" She's too protective of her son. Seungcheol who doesn't know anything just cried. He doesn't know what he did wrong for his father to react that way.

"The merpeople are just lingering around the palace. If a young merman was there, they're probably hiding somewhere near." Cheol concluded and went out of his son's room, leaving the crying Seungcheol and his wife who hugged their son to comfort him.
