Wilbur didn’t look convinced, but just hesitantly went back to eating. He could try to figure it out later, surely, and wouldn’t beech Tommy’s boundaries. If the boy had something in mind that he just didn’t wanna talk about, Wilbur wouldn’t force the issue.

They soon finished up, and head out. Wilbur thanked Skeppy for the food, getting a grin and nod from Skeppy. “Any time!” He chirped, watching the two leave.

Wilbur hummed, walking with Tommy towards the horses. “Alright… I suppose we should, shouldn’t we?” He gave tommy a worried glance, “you may need more rest beforehand, though. You look exhausted, and it’s quite a few hours until the next town. Mostly farmland this far south since it’s one of the only places warm enough to keep high amounts of crops.” He reminded.

Tommy waved a goodbye and followed to the horses. The stable master smiled as he paid him a bit more than needed. They had groomed the horses. With out being asked. And so he gave a few silver more. As he mounted his horse and looked to Friend. "I am fine master.. Trust me" he knew he could make it to the next town. Though he could feel the exhaustion he was trying now to get him home before something happened. He needed to, he would never forgive himself if something happened to Wilbur.

He smiled kindly as he got his bag up on the saddle and held Friends halter close to keep still for Wilbur. "its a two day trip.. We should head out now to be home on time" he knew there was no exact day to be back. But he told himself leaving the castle for the trip he would only take Wilbur for a week from his duties.  It had been a week. And he wanted him home now. That and there was a feeling inside, if he didn't leave now.. He never would.

He had visited all his father and mothers friends. His own too. Sapnap was the only one here he was still friends with. So if he stayed he would never leave he would grow to attached again.

Wilbur smiled, thanking the stable master for caring for their horses. He went up to friend, rubbing the grey horse’s muzzle and mane gently. He was happy to see that his beloved horse was well cared for while he was gone. He felt weird for allowing Tommy to pay for the care, but just decided to get him something nice later to repay him. He knew how stubbornly selfless Tommy could be when he put his mind to it.

“If you say so.. Just alert me if you need to stop for the night or a quick nap.” He replied softly. He slung himself up onto friend’s saddle, giving the horse a few more neck pats. He nodded in agreement, even if he knew they could really be gone for however long they wished so long as it wasn’t too long. He needed to get back to his duties sooner than later. “Then let’s get going to make good time.” He agreed, beginning the long ride back to the castle.

Wilbur was exhausted by the time they got back. It was late in the evening, with the sun beginning to dip below some of the mountains bordering the northern part of the kingdom. He yawned softly, stretching out before leading friend over to the royal stables. “I think it’s close to time for a proper rest, don’t you think?” He asked, looking over at Tommy as he got down off of friend and led the horse over to his own station.

Tommy was glad that wilbur didn't get upset from him paying for the stables, even if it was free. They had done much care for the horses and he just wanted the kindness returned. He smiled over as they left the small Auburn Town. Tommy always loved the name he gave it. Auburn Meadows, a simple yet sweet name for a maple village. Especially around his home where the fields were large.

By the time they got back, Tommy was exhausted. He never once asked to stop for a personal need. He only stopped for Wilbur as he wanted to get the prince home in time. While he made it seem like it was an easy journey He had great trouble with it. By the time they rode up to the palace stables the blonde was feeling terrible.

As he followed his master on the horse he stopped and hopped of carefully, leaning a bit on it for slight support. He sighed as he handed the reigns over and looked to Wilbur putting away Friend. He smiled just a little as he walked over. "Its best if we do, the journey is over and you are home" he said as he looked to the palace. Home. He thought visiting his childhood home would give him the feeling of it. But he only got the feeling of friendship there. Nostalgia. But here he felt like he was returning home for once.

Wilbur noticed immediately how he seemed to Stumble a little to getting off and worried slightly. Tommy never stumbled like this before. He worried for his health now as he walked over and looked at him, carefully and sighed. "Tommy are you feeling alright? You don't seem to be okay.. " he worried something had happened

He never had done this before, he actually worried so much. Sure wilbur had often worried for His servants but Tommy was different. He wanted nothing wrong anything if he could. He looked to the horses as they were led to the stable and frowned

"Please, go rest Tommy.. As an order from me. I demand you rest" he knew if he didn't the boy wouldn't go.

Tommy was feeling awful and personally had no energy to fight back, no energy to go and tell wilbur no. It was an order, a command the prince made to him.. A servant a personal Aide. He had to listen.

He nodded and slowly walked inside, as he went to his quarters. He knew he should of immediately gone, but part of him decided to help the maids and guards out for a little before going in his room.

Once there, the blonde collapsed onto his bed. The boy was exhausted as he fell asleep. Deeply dreaming, of his old home and life. One with his mother and father with a smile.

When the morning came, he wasn't up in time. He had for the first time ever, slept in. He stayed in bed curled up tightly, as his face was slightly pale. He shivered a little trying to stay under his covers.

When breakfast came around and he sat with his father, he hadn't noticed the boy gone. Wilbur was use to tommy helping every morning, as he sat with Philza talking with his father of the trip.

He spoke of meeting Skeppy and Bad, Puffy as well. And Tommy's good friend Sapnap. He spoke only kind words of each, as he went to every detail, hoping his father would not mind. He had a wonderful adventure outside of the capital. And he hoped to go again one day to see the auburn trees in autumn.

Of course Phil did not mind it, as he listened. It was clear, Wilbur forgot his request to bring the Witherian Rose back. But that's alright he thought. As long as Wilbur had a lovely time, he was okay with it and didn't put any words in on it.
