"I can't believe you're sixteen now, Katie!" You cheered to your daughter, who groaned slightly in return as she typed something onto her laptop.

"Mom," She said in a slightly annoyed tone before you ran up to her and hugged her. "Don't cry, mom. At least I'm not married." She told you, noticing the tears.

"I know, I know, I just..." You paused for a moment, realizing what kind of mom you were being. "I'm sorry, honey, you're just so grown. It's like yesterday we were thinking of names for you." As Aaron came down the stairs, you turned your attention to him.

"Morning, mother." He said promptly before opening up a birthday card. "I made a card for Katie." He told you before you smiled.

"That's so sweet of you! Why don't you give it to her and then both of you get ready for school." You said sweetly, but sternly at the same time. They replied 'okay' in sync before Rick came down the stairs, already ready to leave for work. As you fixed him a plate of eggs, you smiled.

"Morning, hon." You heard him tell you as you brought the eggs to him.

"Morning." You returned before giving him a light kiss. As Aaron came down the stairs, you raised an eyebrow knowingly. "Did you get your math book?" He nodded, grinning at you. "What about your Dinosaur report." Aaron's smile dropped and he ran back upstairs. You shook your head before fixing Katie and Aaron's plates as well. You then fixed your own and began to eat as a family. When you saw Katie with the laptop, you frowned. "Uh uh, Katie, no laptops at the table when we're eating." You saw Rick nod in agreement before Katie rolled her eyes and placed it beside her. "Aaron, no feeding Monchi." You didn't even have to look up to know. Aaron pretended to be oblivious and continued to eat. Suddenly, Rick stood up and gave you and Aaron a look. One you had planned the night before. You all stood up and began to sing.

"Happy birthday to you,

Happy birthday to you,

Happy birthday dear Katie," You guys paused and Aaron grinned at his plan.

"You look like a monkey and you smell like one too!" Aaron let out before you gasped falsely and Rick laughed. Katie let out a fake scoff.

"I'm the monkey? Oh, who's the one who likes to hang upside down on my bed." Katie playfully rolled her eyes before standing up and hugging all of you.

"That's not all..." You said, pulling out a chocolate cake only you and Aaron knew about. Katie let her jaw drop before smiling widely and running up to you. "Don't just thank me, thank Aaron too. He gave me the idea." Katie thanked both of you before you guys dug into the cake.

"When did you get time to make this?" Rick asked in confusion and amusement.

"I came home early the other day." You whispered to him slightly, gazing at your two children who were mimicking dinosaurs.

"This cake was in the fridge and I didn't know!" Rick exclaimed quietly to you before taking another bite. "I would've eaten this when I had the chance." You nudged Rick, earning his laugh. "I'm joking." He told you, making you laugh as well.

After that, everyone headed out of the house and ran up to old Iron Eagle. After hopping inside, you all buckled up and set off for work and school. Here we go, it was a normal day.
