MALL ENTRANCE

ABBY, APPLYING AS SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETER 2.JEFFREY, A GUARD AT THE MALL

ABBY

"My job interview is today. Can, you let me in, Sir?" Abby pleaded to one of the guards inside CityMall."

JEFFREY

'No, Ma'am! I am sorry. We need to close the line now. Many applicants are queuing to be interviewed today,' Jeffrey explained.

ABBY

'Okay, what can I do now but to call it off. What a total waste of time,' Abby sighed.

'By 3 O'clock, I suppose to meet the hiring personnel,'

Abby gave the letter to him.

JEFFREY

He looks at it and politely says,

JEFFREY

'I am so sorry. I suggest contact them to give you another appointment. This was not my fault; I am just following orders from the higher management.'

ABBY

'Yeah, I understand. Thank you.'

(Abby went home in total dismayed.)

LIVING ROOM

She opens her laptop and begins composing an email to Sarah. An apologetic letter, explaining the incident today's morning was sent to the secretary.

Abby was happy as Sarah has been considerate, she got another schedule for next week.

She must have been favored by the gods when Sarah told her a trick to surpass the mall guardians.

SARAH, SECRETARY, EMPLOYEE AT CITYMALL

'Look Abby, I am advising you not to join the roster of applicants on that day. Just come up straight to the 2[nd] Floor of the mall and meet me. I will call and instruct you to where I am seated.'

OFFICE

A beautiful kindhearted Abby walk-in the big office room and looked for Sarah.

(Her eyes glazed and saw two ladies including Sarah, two personnel; one male and one gay staff named Jack.)

SARAH:

"You must be Ms. D' Souza? Nice to meet you," as Sarah handshakes Abby.

ABBY:

"Yes, I am! Thank you Ms. Sarah."

Not long ago after she introduced herself to Sarah, Debbie came.

DEBBY, BUSINESSWOMAN, OWNER OF CITYMALL

"Sarah, it's almost 3 pm, 15[th] May." (She looks at her watch.")

Debbie looking much drained,

DEBBIE

"Sarah, today is another long day for interviews. I wish, this will come to an end or else I will be untiringly crazy."

(Debbie turning to Melanie and said to,)

DEBBIE

"Oh! Sorry dear,"

She intentionally winds her by throwing a chewing gum on her drinking glass.

As Melanie steps out to get her water, she barely even said any words to Debbie.

Sarah told Debbie that Abigail emanate because she wants to discuss private matters.

Melanie comes back and greets Debbie with a smile. (Debbie facing Melanie,)

DEBBIE

"Darling, I hope you have thrown away the gums I've dished out to your glass earlier."

MELANIE, EMPLOYEE OF CITYMALL

"Yes Ma'am I did. Don't you worry please, it's alright."

(Debbie turned to Abby with a smile and whispered to her ears.)

DEBBIE

"I'm testing her actually."

(Debbie still whispers to Abby,)

DEBBIE

"By the way, I have prayed for you when you said you are sick."

(Debbie looked at Abby and said,)

DEBBIE

(Abby nodded and slightly moved her eyes to lean on Sarah and smiled.)

OFFICE

The two walked together to Debbie's office. The latter locked the door and sat on her desk.

While Abby starting to feel anxious, Debbie said to her,

DEBBIE

"Do you have a resume?"

ABBY

"Yes Madam, I brought with me."

(She handed to Debbie. After five minutes of reading and contemplating on Abigail's resume. She said to her.)

DEBBIE

"Ms. Abigail, you are welcome to my company. I assumed, you already read the job descriptions for a Social Media Strategist?"

ABBY

"Yes Madam, I've certainly done my homework since last week and I will do my best. I suppose to be here last week but unluckily, I've missed."

Abby shown to Debbie the email she sent to Sarah explaining that last time, even though she was there by 10 o'clock morning for the interview, the guard didn't let her in and have cut off the timings to 12 noon only.

Some thoughts flashback on Debbie's mind, she suddenly remembered that she saw Abby's resume on her desk but since she is rushing off, she accidentally trashed off her paper.

DEBBIE

'Okay Ms. Abigail, I really wish you will stay longer with me. I really need someone to manage my CityMall and have it grow and be more competitive. You think you'll be able to do that?'

The interview ended; Debbie and Abby both stand up from their chairs; as Debbie holds Abby's hand; there was a beautiful smile between them.

Abigail was overwhelmed; she gave Debbie a warmth embrace and politely expressed,

ABBY

"You don't known how much this means to me. This opportunity to work with you Ma'am I will be forever grateful for the trust."
